  1. Be worth getting nicked so you could do something rare....trying out the back seats! In all these years of LS ownership I've never travelled in the back of my own car, handcuffed or not!

  2. Been looking for some time for some 18" wheels to replace the current 17s as they don't fill out the arches and found these on Pre Loved locally. Guy bought them new in January for his GS300 then sold the car shortly afterwards so both wheels and tyres are like new with Uniroyal Rainsport 3s all round, wheels are german made Rial Cantania. Spigot rings, cone nuts and set of locking nuts thrown in for £300.00.

  4. Well guys, got the isF on friday from Huw at "Oxford Specialist Cars" who i would recommend to anyone looking to purchase a car. ive not posted before this as ive been to caught up in the isF, what a car this is around town its so easy to drive you wouldnt know it has a big powerful engine well until you give it the gas peddle, in sport mode it stays up in the revs where the power is and roars as soon as you tap the peddle even a wee bit. i gave the brother a shot today and he couldnt stop laughing every time he floored the faster peddle, its such an acceptable family car until the engine roars he said. My wife got the fright of her life in it flooring it. Our 7 year old daughter got the giggles like her uncle and said it makes her tummy feel funny. The way the steering comes out to meet you and the speedo and tacho needles coming to life its as though the car has a heart and soul and is asking you if your ready. I will get pics up soon. gave it a polish today and in that silver colour it really shows of its curves.

Not been on here for a while what with work and house building, couldn't have made yesterday anyway due to an airport run collecting the wife n youngest, but iam gutted to have missed it, may possibly have been able to pop in, albeit in the wife's RAV4 or my Volvo D5 estate, wouldn't have been able to come in the F as I couldn't fit the luggage in the boot 😔.....next time hopefully

  7. Yes infrastructure is all important, I mean roads that did'nt have suspension destroying pot holes would be a start :-) How many garage mechanics / technicians would even know what a fuel cell is let alone how to fix it ? :-(

  8. Also, with delivery of the new Toyota Mirai cars into the UK (hydrogen fuel cell), I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped Lithium Ion tech altogether... Just can we get the infrastructure in place to support a radical leap forward? Looking at the adoption of LPG and recharging stations has me worried that it doesn't pay to REALLY innovate these days [emoji853]

  11. Big thanks to Stu for organising the event. Good to meet everyone and their cars. The RCF is simply stunning, as is the dark grey ISF, I want one in that colour as a I can't afford an RCF. I had no idea the CT was so well appointed, that was a real eye opener. As for Peter's ISF, it's a monster, even people passing by were drooling. Peter's F is probably the most developed in the UK and perhaps Europe. I think my SC is the most modified in the UK and there they are together in the same picture.

  12. Before I stop the car I fold the mirrors in then stop the car and press the button again. When the car starts the mirrors fold out, beats messing with the wiring!

  13. I think it would be fair to say that most manufacturers have their strengths and weaknesses Citroens strength was their adoption of advanced technology particularly with respect to suspension, their weakness was in quality control and in ensuring that their dealer support network actually knew how to fix what the factory produced. While Citroen actually became PSA in the nineties Citroen managed to hold on to their design ethos for a while and both the C5 and the early Picasso owe more to the Citroen heritage than that which came later, now PSA have announced that they will abandon the hydraulic suspension in favour conventional springs and dampers a retrograde step if ever there was one.

  14. Talking of driving at low revs with a hybrid powertrain is a bit confusing: the hybrid synergy drive is totally different because it uses both electric and petrol engine to give the power (and torque) you need, and expecially for torque the electric engine gives all you need starting at every speed and instantly. The big difference is in what you hear, because when you depress the right foot you actually set the power you want, and the petrol engine gives it at "high" revs while there are not fixed gears, so the feeling is the opposite you can have with a traditional gearbox where revs are proportional to speed; some people hate this, some love the eCVT, you have to try. About mpg, the best place you have advantages compared to diesel is city driving, with large amount of electric use and energy recovery at every light braking you make, while in high speed travelling mpg is same or a bit worse compared to a diesel. But about comfort, eCVT hybrid is wonderful, and in city driving you have petrol engine off saving petrol and driving in silence.

  16. Never had an issue with the nav. Postcode is on 2nd page after selecting destination and there are multiple setting for which route to take I. E short, quickest and most economical. You can even remove roads such as toll roads and motorways All depends on your settings
