  1. Aha so this'll be a proper birthday - not an 'official' one in the royal sense :) Hope it goes well - nice day for it at least. Rgds TG
  2. Ditto from me. They're awesome and a trusted brand too ... TG
  3. Part number L04478-30240 is the front seal kit. Enough to do both sides. About £60 + vat. Part number L47731-30170 is a caliper piston. About £18 each + vat. 2 in each caliper. TG
  4. Hope you get to have a relaxing birfday MrE TG
  5. Sorry to hear this news Chris. Astonishing that Lexus / Toyota should scoff at the loss of so much brand loyalty / experience. Best of luck mate in whatever the new job is. Rgds TG
  6. Form I got from DVLA back in December said 205 quid so that's what I did on their website rather then go to post office. Assumed I was a bit lucky and it must've been put up again judging from several topics about it around this site. TG
  7. Oh dear - that sounds like some bad news. I'm sure there are some ideas on this web forum with ideas to work around this problem. I do remember some people have managed to make them work. Best of luck. TG
  8. As far as I can see, the radio fuses are in 2 locations. For LHD car, Fuse no. 1 is 20A and located in the engine compartment fuse/relay box Right hand side near the windscreen. If there is a group of 8 fuses, the radio1 is 3rd one down 20A. Fuse no.2 is 10A and located in the drivers side kick panel fuse compartment. If there are 3 columns of fuses, the radio2 fuse is the 10A at the bottom of the centre column. I hope this is correct information. Best of luck. TG
  9. The TTE exhaust is definitely a REMUS. Don't think that applies to the TRD one though. Looking on the TRD website, they're still listed so probably still available. TG
  10. I see the car has a big 'NEMESIS' windscreen banner. Wonder if that's the same lot who were based at Witham in Essex... I remember they were doing a kit on an IS some years ago amongst other Japanese car bits and bobs. Can't remember exactly what it looked like now but do recall they took it to a JAE event. TG
  11. Have a good one mate - or the remainder of it anyway TG
  12. Lucky we've got such a guru in charge round here then .... Nice one Steve ....
  13. Hardly fits in with the desire to get more people to replace their cars at the three year point thereby cutting down on dirty old engines being run into the ground does it. Fact is more people will run them for longer and the poor sods who bought Chelsea tractors and fuel thirsty cars will be keeping them a lot longer as they won't be willing to take the drastic reduction in value their vehicles have now incurred. Perhaps this is the time that "Chelsea tractors" get re-classified as "Chelsea Muck Spreaders"
  14. Got mine through the dealer. Not cheap but they're the ones they use themselves. Got 2 main volumes - part numbers VOL1 RM684E1 and VOL2 RM684E2. Each about the size of yellow pages. Then there's supplements for the later model years .... TG The 2 main volumes were about 55 quid each. That was about 4 years ago. TG
  15. Glad someone else had reason to mention that as a possibility too. I went through several sets of the Bridgestone tyres pretty quick. Had several alignment sessions done by the dealer too. Then swapped to a set of Dunlop tyres and around the same time TTE did alignment for me when they changed my suspension. Things seem to be fine now so I wasn't sure whether it was switching to Dunlops or TTE's work that sorted things out. So I reckon it's probably the latter - TTE using their settings rather than the UK offices duff ones. Rgds TG
  16. Hi. Thinking I might need to change battery on my car. Currently still has the original Nippon Denshi one, (2001 car). Do the IS300 ones (70 or 80 Ah) fit the IS200 OK ? Rgds TG
  17. 80 quid (+vat no doubt) for a bit of oil *****, have they got their own North sea rig to run or something :shutit: I never use whatever the dealer wants. Always supply oil for them to use so as to avoid that fleecing. Just been to the shop and bought the oil for my next service - 4.5 litre's @ £17.49 And if you want a top up the 1 litre pot is £5.99 I use Duckhams Q. That's their semi synthetic which used to be called 'QXR' Used it for years in all the cars I've had after it cured a bad emulsifying problem with Castrol GTX - Struth that was rubbish. Don't leave the garage to do (and charge the earth) for trivial jobs. So, supply your own oil for them to use and any other parts you prefer - spark plugs for example. Fill your washer bottle right up before giving the car to the garage. TG
  18. Hiya. I've got the whole set sitting here brand new unused. Consists of the following 5 self adhesive emblems... 'L' symbol, LEXUS, I, S, 200 Can't remember why I bought them now but it must have been ages ago. Just been outside to double check my car isn't missing any and they're all there so I guess these ones can go somewhere useful. Rgds TG
  19. I thought this was a kind of 'weather control' button. Daren't press it TG
  20. I've got an 'L' off a sports grille sitting here in front of me as i type this ... Just found a little jiffy bag to bung it in too. Perhaps PM me where to send it to and I'll get it in the post. Rgds TG
  21. Got mine through the dealer. Not cheap but they're the ones they use themselves. Got 2 main volumes - part numbers VOL1 RM684E1 and VOL2 RM684E2. Each about the size of yellow pages. Then there's supplements for the later model years .... TG
  22. Hi Well that's very spooky timing. I've been going through exactly the same last few days. Checked the tables on here and then remembered having discussions about standard offset etc. Several years ago now but i couldn't remember the outcome so I checked my spare today aswell. As you say it IS stamped 7jj x17 and NOT 7.5. And there IS a 50 stamped on the next spoke and NOT 45. Seem to recall during a previous go at this I even tried measuring the offset manually to be sure. Also remember my conclusion wasn't taken seriously and just dismissed. Oh well, never mind :) TG
  23. Looking impressive there. Is that all 1 belt ? Looks about a mile long if it is :) In that pic seems like it's virtually rubbing against itself as it passes/goes round the 2nd pulley below the charger. TG
  24. Should at least check them at the time .... They did on mine last week and changed the tensioner as a result. And that's at 48k miles. I'm sure Monster Mat has pointed out on another thread about this recently that conditions of these items were the main reason for the belt change interval being dropped from 100k milles to 60k miles. Better safe than sorry ... TG
