  1. Ive had a look at the Factorys Act 1974 and i cannot see any mention of a break time or limit although i agree with Matthew that after 6 hours you are entitled to a break. The DSE Regs 1992 say a)"It is not appropriate to lay down requirements for breaks" ;also B)"short, frequent breaks are more satisfoctory than occasional longer breaks:e.g, a 5-10 minute break after 50-60 mins continuous screen and/or keyboard work is likely to be better than a 15 min break every 2 hours". The trouble with the European working Law (6 pack)is that many things are not laid down in black and white. Here endeth the lesson! ( Health and Safety Rep at B.T.)
  2. I,m down to my last couple now and i havn't seen anymore members in Shropshire. A month agoe there was an IS200 AND a Coupe parked on Sainsuburys' car-park, so i did the IS and my wife did the Coupe, but she found the driver was still in it (local Vet), he took the card but havn't seem him on this forum yet. It seems a very low sucsess rate for all of us.:(
  3. Chris: thats not different its HORRID!:wow:
  4. Blackmagic:- I'm glad i'm not the only sad person who plays "Spot the Lexus". I did it whilst my IS200 was on order on a trip to Kent, also did it on a trip to Inverness, but I didn't bother on our recent holiday to Menorca. Saw only two Toyotas in a fortenight.:wow:
  5. It got a very good showing during the programme. The shot where they got out of the car and stood in front of it , one either side looked like it was specially posed for. The Lexus badge was right in the middle of the screen for some time. She made up two stories of how she got the coupe, firstly it was hired then it was stolen!
  6. That'll teach me to read the question:wow: How about a "dream" of Lexus?
  7. Quite right Trevorx. Lexus is the plural:tumble:
  8. Its quite easy- LEXUS is the plural.Same as sheep i.e. 10 lexus, 50 lexus. 50 sheep, what ever your fancy.:wow:
  9. I thought it was Matt doing another in-car video:D
  10. Hi DruryPnj, welcome, have a look at the other threads in the engine and trans section. It appears to be a known "problem" with the IS 200, mine is the same, but not every time going from first to second. There are plenty of members with the same "charcteristic" so i dont think your local dealer should try and fob you off, especially if they are keeping an eye on this web-site as some say.
  11. I think that was a gallon per 1/4 mile!:o Sounds like a Peco Straight Thru.
  12. Lexus has come out top again. This time in the "Top Gear Magazine" motoring survey. http://www.topgear.beeb.com/content/latest...survey_2002/01/
  13. It played havock with my machine also, all i got was a blue screen, which wouldnt got away!
  14. How about a Lexus Malt Whiskey Club? Some of my favourites(but not all). beer- Marstons' Pedigree. Malt-· Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old (Islay Malt) Laphroaig 15 Year Old (Islay Malt) Glenfiddich 18 Year Old Ancient Reserve (Speyside Malt) Glenlivet 18 Year Old (Speyside Malt) or Singleton 10 Year Old . Australian Chardonnay. Otherwise its Pepsi-Max:o
  15. I think i can manage to crawl up the "D" road Chris, look forward to some special opening offers! :tumble:
  16. The funny bit for me Steve was watching all the dust settle on the OTHER side of the road, and then there would be a mad rush with dusters until the next car came. It was a losing battle, but the boys stuck to it for TWO days!
  17. When the light is steady, there's at least 1-1.5 galls left, enough for 30-40 miles of very careful driving!!
  18. My wife helped buy the car, and insisted we DIDN'T but a BMW. I took her to JAE where she said she had a good time and met lots of friendly people (had to put her up in an hotel thought ) and she helps me wash it every week!:D
  19. Warning triangle and matching Lexus umbrella. First-aid kit on the right-boring but consistant.:D
  20. Congratulations ZEE- best of luck!Text
  21. Hi Haggis, welcome. I had mine changed under warranty recently, however they put new alloys on instead of re-furbished ones, but only four wheels. The only problem i have is getting the wheel centres to match. They keep bringing the wrong ones, however there is a spiv in Stoke who wants to sell me a set, honestly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wow:
  22. How come you never see BLACK fireworks?:?:
  23. I still havn't sexed the IS200. It looks aggressive enough to be a boy, but purrs like a woman. We call ours "our baby" (baby Lexus), e.g. "youv'e left the baby out" or "the baby wants cleaning".
  24. When we bought our Lexus 12 months ago, Lexus were recommending "Tracker", and Lexus Insurance were offering money towards the cost if you had it fitted. There was no incentive to buy RAC Trackstar.
