saw this in the paper the other day .apparently they only noticed when they took the poodle to have claws cut and noticed it had hooves ,slight oversight when buying a puppy ,went for the active one and was so pleased did not see the hooves or notice the fact it was bleating instead of barking .still look on the bright side grass is cheaper than dog food and grows anywere .unbelievable :duh:

at a guess i would think its to make their sales figures look better as they can now sell p/x for 10k and look like they have made 1k on it .helps them meet sales targets etc . at the end of the day all car fronts want to make a profit and please head office etc and on paper your car stands them in 9k so when it comes to resale they only have to make over this and not the 10k first offerd to you .i know they are not realy making anymore but on paper it looks better.other than that i aint got a clue

did a search on google and came up with this P1656> OCV Circuit Malfunction .not sure what ocv is though but sure someone else will tell you soon . good luck

the head unit comes out as one unit and is held in by a few screws but to be honest its been a while since i took mine out so i will let one of the other mk1 owners give you a more detailed explanation .as you say it sounds like a break in the wire could well be were it gos into the door . -
i take it we are talking about the speaker ,if so have you tried a different speaker just in case ,cant see it being the head unit tbh. how did you check the amp ?

would like to keep it ,but to be honest the mpg is just not good enough for me at this time and the audi tt we have is worse ,so its a bmw 330 d for me i think .will keep you posted about rad but think i have found one for around the £100 mark inc vat .i would change yours asap as mine has always had proper toyota antifreeze yet still has gone .wil post up name of outlet for rad as soon as i recieve it and check it is ok . horrid ,brilliant car in standard form but that is nasty .had the coupe version and always regretted selling it ,in fact was gonna get one instead of the audi TT we bought but the missus wanted something newer (probaly would have been more reliable as the tts build quality is like no audi i have ever had :tsktsk: ). -
I have done it with a cover note before ,that was about two years ago though ,but i think you will be fine .

that red is200 is there today as well ,prob lives around by the shops .

Spot on with that reply,rad has gone at bottom and leaking for a while .just need to source a new one now .was going to put it on autotrader this week as well ,will have to wait now .but then again i have found lots of reassons to keep car for the last year or so :D

I would not let the cambelt go 100k on any car . have it done for piece of mind .

sadly there is so many of these psychopath's out there ,how long before this happens here .you have only got to look at the recent stabbings in london to see how bad it has become .we always follow america and i think this will be the same .

mine is in the window but i have seen some on the spoiler ,the sale brochure from when they was new had it in the window not the spoiler but it seems to be a grey area as to were it is .i think you are right in saying about the prices as a good sport with low miles will be around the 4k mark(quite a steal for a car that was 35k new)

you can buy some stuff from halfords to clear up the smell ,i believe it is caused by bacteria in the system .it is a can that you set of in the car with the system on full blast .

yes turned it on hot ,full blast fans all the way home after topping up , was not nice considering how hot it was today .will look more indepth tomorrow ,any ideas on a price for a rad .

drove car 50 miles today park up with no problems ,on return journey i pulled over to take a call and noticed the engine management light was on .decided to limp it home but only got a few miles and the temp gauge shot up .pulled over and it was overheating .waited an hour for it to cool and refilled water and drove home no problems at all .car has not over heated again and can find no leaks .i can only think the thermostat stuck or something like that .has any one else had a simaler problem or got any other ideas on what could have caused this .

probaly the fuel injecters ?,most cars do it but you only notice on a lexus because they are so quiet :winky: -

Always thought that plate was owned by car that it is on (i.e whose name is on the log book) otherwise you could sell your car to someone with p plate and two years later claim it back because you have the reciept

Had to be fake ,no one in greenwich would keep thier houses like the ones in the picture of that car .
