Ensure the airflow arrow on the filter points down (opposite to the arrow on the carrier). Insert the carrier back into the opening with the arrow pointing up and refit the panels to the filter housing and glovebox.
That should be been re-written on the web site you took that from :winky:
Inferior in what way? It has to meet the British Standards test however it is thought that there aren't as many additives as you get from the main oil companies stations.
The engine doesn't care which you use. It is designed for 95 upwards. You will get better mpg if using 97-98 RON but you need to use it all the time and will take 2 or more tank to get the full benefit.
If you are doing mainly short journeys the increase in mpg won't be very much.
make sure you turn the gas gap until you hear two or more clicks otherwise you are not tightening it up enough which the car will sense and put on the check light.
If that doesn't fix then get a new gas gap - make sure it is genuine Lexus.
Not sure why you think MBs are more solid. The GS is heavier than the equivalent MB, the E Class, although probably the same if you fully spec up the MB to Lexus standards.
The US setup would probably make it even worse.
Where in the UK are you? It would be worth having a proper wheel alignment done, if you are near Watford then there is a place that comes recommended.
a lot of old technology plasma screen are becoming available. Most have a poor resolution and are not HDTV ready, which Sky and cable companies will start transmitting next year.
Maybe a quick spin is fun but certainly doesn't have a driving feel good factor that the IS has.
Also there is a big difference in driving between a 300 and a 430.
whats different with the Interior Colin?
to be honest I only noticed the widescreen satnav and some chrome trim
←
You can't do much about the sat nav but there is chrome trim around the gear selector.
Trim around the instrument cluster and centre air vent is darker colour which breaks up the large areas on the same colour. Instrument cluster trim also has silver edging.
The centre of the steering wheel has a chrome L badge but you would need to replace the airbag so it's very expensive to do that.
Ash tray is now wood rather than plastic
All small changes but make a big difference to freshen it up.
