    You can do that. The will be a slight delay from when you move the lever to the box actually changing the gear though. Works better going down. I think you will soon get bored and just leave it in D. I only use the manual gears to: provide engine braking when you are about to overtake so you don't have to wait for the kickdown when going around a long corner I hold it in gear so you can power out of the bend.

    They reduce the amount of dirt that gets into the engine bay and reduce drag.

    Worth ckecking a plug or two every 20,000 miles just to see what they are like. Your car should run much better on those new plugs :)

    It means you will need a convertor as the correct bore is 60.1mm and as the IS uses the hub to centre the wheels correctly (hub centric) this needs to match.

    I guess you are talking about the one on ebay? Yes all models use the same DVD. Looks like there will be a few people from LOC all bidding on the disc. Interestingly the description says it costs £190+VAT. Maybe the latest disc has a lower price?

    It's a microwave sensor rather than ultrasonic. Not 100% sure of the location but I think it's behind the dashboard somewhere. Sometimes when washing the windscreen I set off the alarm if I forget to disarm it. This is for UK and probably all Euro models. US models do not get interior sensing.

    Ian, the concept car is GS sized because it is built using a GS chassis, engine and gearbox.

    It's the same with the GS. 75 litre tank and with the fuel needle through the red zone and out the other side you only get 65l in it.

    A guy at work who owns a standard 9-3 took a viggen for a test drive. He couldn't believe how such a dangerous car could be allowed on the roads :o

    The SC430 has received quite a few bad reviews in the UK and Topgear did slate it last year. I have to admit it is at least £10k overpriced and not really that good a drive, it's more of a status symbol. I believe there would be a few Cayenne owners not happy about seeing their vehicle at # 18. Topgear liked the car once you were inside they just hated its looks

    Conversion of an RX would be around £2000. However I believe you can get the government grant with the RX which saves you about half the cost.

    I've moved this into the Import>Soarer section as that it what it is. I think we will start to see some import Soarer 430s coming into the country now they are becoming 3 years old. Not sure if you can just put in a UK disc to convert the sat nav. You couldn't do this on older versions but would be worth trying first. If that doesn't work then you are looking at a few £1,000 to swap out the sat nav unit etc.

    Yes it could be a wheel sensor. Fault code should tell you. Yes you can get a new key from Lexus. Cost about £150 for a master key and they will need to program the car to make it work - only takes 5 minutes.

    The tag is the key code to get a new one cut. That will make it fit in the lock. The car then needs to be programmed for the remote locking and the immobiliser and a working master is required for that.
