  1. No worries. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
  2. I did also like the 300e when I had one on loan. It is just a shame that the top spec is so expensive! I'm sure the GS will be fine, but do let us know how it goes.
  3. Welcome Syed, If you look at the pictures below, you can see that it is located on the inlet side of the engine: Hope this helps.
  4. I do like the look very much. Interior looks alright as well, but I would be surprised if the quality is up to Lexus standards. Auto Express say: At launch, the G70 Shooting Brake will be offered with one petrol and one diesel motor, both of which are shared with the saloon. The petrol is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit with 251bhp and 353Nm of torque, with the 2.2-litre diesel putting out 199bhp and a healthy 440Nm. Both drive the rear wheels alone through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The G70 saloon is available with a range-topping 3.3-litre turbocharged V6 petrol that powers all four wheels, but this won’t be offered with the Shooting Brake initially - we expect it to arrive later. So it looks like the 3.3 V6, which I am assuming is the same as the one in my Stinger, is going to be offered at a later date? If so, then the last consideration would be the price.
  5. Thanks chaps 🙂 I have no plans to leave here, and since the Kia Stinger forum seems non-existent, I still need somewhere to go everyday to catch up 🙂 How does it feel? Honestly, a bit odd. I keep expecting to see it out of the window and there is just a gap. It was sad yesterday knowing it was going to be my final drive in it (I may have said a few words to it on the way...🙂) At this point, my Stinger is due at the end of November, so my GS sold a little too soon! I am borrowing my brother's car for a while, but might have to consider something to run around in until mine turns up. I know what you mean Vlad about looking around. I really struggled to find something that fit my requirements, especially with regard to reliability and good dealer service. I don't think the dealer experience will be as good for the Kia, but apart from that, I think the rest of the ownership prospects are looking promising. I will of course keep you guys updated, assuming you want to hear about a Kia...🙂
  6. Hi Craig, Thanks for making the trip down! I am really pleased that it went to someone who is going to appreciate it. With any luck you are home by now and all went well 🤞 Hope you hang around here and keep us updated, especially as this thread is yours now 🙂
  7. As of about an hour ago I am no longer a Lexus owner 😢 About the only consolation is that the chaps that came down were very nice and the owner promised to look after it! He said he is going to join the forum, so hopefully I still get to see it from time to time. It has been a fun journey, and I miss it quite a bit already. No plans to go anywhere as I do really like it on this forum, and besides, who know if I will own one again at some point? One last picture today before it left:
  8. Thanks. You are going to have to show us pictures of yours now in return 🙂
  9. I can think of one problem: I would rather be in the back than in the front! 🙂 I do have to ask though why you would want a GS and LS?
  10. Thought is might be handy to link the video here:
  11. It appears the link is in the tag rather than the post? Assuming this is it: https://mag.lexus.co.uk/lexus-v8-engines-all-you-need-to-know/?category=technology performance
  12. It is a curious blend of specifications but what's new? 🙂 Is it just me or are cars becoming less configurable (unless they are German of course)? For example, what happened to have a choice of what wheel you wanted on the car? Surely it can't be that difficult to offer. It also still surprises me that cars in this price category don't come with metallic paint as standard. Premium paint colours I can understand, but a bit more choice on the free colours would be nice. Lastly, as an Android users, I agree that it is in annoying that only CarPlay is wireless when both are quite capable of being.
  13. I'll let you know what the new Stinger is like when mine arrives in a couple of months 🙂
  14. I got my MOT done at my local MrClutch for £29 a few weeks ago. Used them a few times now and it has always been quick, easy and painless. Unlike the 2 times I took my car to the main dealer where they listed the wrong shock as leaking, advisory for a leaking shock that they said "wasn't actually leaking but the technician is being overly cautious" and the usual engine cover and under tray obscuring components nonsense.
  15. Established? Don't think I have heard him described that way before 🙂 I agree though, RCF all the way, although it will be quite different to the Supra.
  16. Perhaps I should come and see about the pain in the neck I have been experiencing 🙂 Well, it sounds like you are very good at making money from investments. Personally, I have a very bad habit of opening and building the Lego I buy 🙂

    Hi!!

Welcome Katherine, Do tell us more about the GS you have purchased. Always nice to see another one on here 🙂
  18. Hi Bart, I'm afraid I can't comment on the method you have described, but I did mine via TechStream, which was very easy. So, depending on if you want to modify other functions as well, it might be a good idea to get a copy from Ebay?
  19. I would love to know what you guys do for a living considering what you have/are considering 🙂 LC500 is an obvious choice of course, but I would also be very tempted by the Alfa Guilia QF.
  20. That is handy, thanks. The LFA one is interesting. Apparently an engine assembly can be had for the low price of £70,100.05 🙂 https://www.nengun.com/oem/lexus/12000-45a00
  21. It is indeed a very strange situation. Based on the valuation from WBAC and Autotrader, I am selling my car cheap! If I were to list it on Autotrader now, I would probably increase the price compared to what I have advertised it for on here.
  22. If I recall correctly, it was also Thiokol management that shared the blame as they pressured their engineers to change their minds during the meeting with NASA. I agree though that NASA is ultimately to blame though as they should have listened to the warnings.
  23. That is some upgrade 🙂 David, you obviously have the means and the desire, so if not now, then when? If fuel consumption is your only concern then it is an easy choice as far as I am concerned.
  24. Hi Ben, Did you do the head gasket yourself? Would be interesting to hear how difficult a job it was. Also, if you are referring to the passenger side rear for the leak, then that it where the fuel filter lives, so it is a distinct possibility you will find the issue there. Have PM'd you as well.
