  2. I think the LBX is much closer to the Yaris Cross, than the RZ and bz4x are together. But I also think Lexus is much better at distinguishing its vehicles from Toyota, despite shared parts & platforms, than others like Audi/VW/Seat/Skoda are.
  3. Just checked my 21 rx450h and no recall needed apparently (had the plates fitted a few weeks ago )
  4. I went to the dealership and they finally found the problem. Long story short, my windshield was replaced, and the shop that did that, made it bad and I had a leakage trough the A pillar. The water made some circuit rust on the left of the dashboard. The current measured before when the car was in sleep mode was 0.154A, now it's 0.05A. About the accessory mode, I'll take some pics and post them in here so you can compare the stats. I also recommend this type of gadget to any hybrid owner:
  5. Does the RZ have a Driver Monitoring System ? Maybe the car thinks you're not paying attention?

  7. Cannot get cursor on to the compas symbol to change gps to ‘heading up’
  8. Funny you ask, just got myself set of sensors from ebay, that are not branded and seems like none of them work. I have a theory that they may require some minimum pressure to report at all, but I have just programmed them as second set and they report no pressure, rather than expected 0. They I was able to program them all without issues is kind of already positive, because I know some cheapo supposedly compatible TMPS sensors don't work at all. So I have dilemma now - should I get them fitted and try again, but that means I can't return them and it will cost me like £80 to do 4 tyres, or should I just return them. Short answer - I don't know decent non-OEM brand yet. I may fit them next week and if they work, then for £27 per set, they would be great value... even if they only last 2 years. But until then can't say I could recommend them.
  9. Hey Guys, can anyone recommend any decent quality aftermarket TPSM sensors please? thanks h
  10. Have to say, I think you are right re other canbus access points... We need a smarter software solution to restrict access to the command system - perhaps similar to the multi-stage authentication used in most financial apps.
  11. Still plenty of rain here in Kent yesterday …… BUT it’s all change today …. 1st June …… and the local Classic Car show tomorrow ……. Just thought, should I pop my 91 Ls400 into the fray ……. But not sure I want to be there all day let alone doing all the necessary prep to get her as pristine as I know I should 🤔 I’ll go visit for sure as taking prtnr to help out on the Cats Protection stand for a couple of hours ……… selling moggies ….. NO, I jest of course 🤔 Malc
  12. ABS TRC on, got a IcarsoftTYT OBD reader, sure enough, right rear sensor shows no data. 2nd hand sensor fitted, no difference, old one covered in rusty iron filings (from the reluctor ring cover I believe) Reluctor ring suspiciously shiny on the sticky up teeth, after comparing with the image of a new reluctor ring clearly this one has been worn down, probably by said rusty iron filings. I don't have the knowledge, kit or place to remove the hub. drive shaft and whatever else to get to the reluctor ring to replace it and I can't afford to pay a dealer to do this. Late at night after a beer and a smoke a thought popped up, what if the sensor cant 'see' the ring teeth coz they are worn down somewhat. I measured the distance from the ring teeth to the mounting surface of the sensor at the hub, then calculated the gap between sensor and ring to be about 5mm, too much, so I got the dremel out and removed 3mm from the sensor outer face that is bolted to the hub (not the end of the sensor) including the mounting hole. to allow the sensor to sit closer to the reluctor ring. Bloody 'ell, it works even though the reluctor ring teeth are only about 1mm high now. Result! one happy owner.
  13. So it’s the likely storage method over time that causes “ new “ old stock to be decrepit when sold 🤔 Makes a lot of sense for sure 👍 Malc
  14. hi guys i have a 02 sensor code p155 says bank 2 sensor 1 where is that on the exhaust
  15. On 3rd gen GS it seems very optimistic, which I found surprising compared to 2nd gen IS (the cars shares most parts, things like ECU). So whereas on IS reported mpg was like +/-1%, maybe 3% once in a while (call it margin of error, and may not even be fault of trip computer, it may be the petrol station pump that is off by 1%), then on GS it is consistently 10% optimistic, it shows range and all other things fairly accurately, but tank MPG always optimistic. So if it says for example 34MPG, then calculated brim to brim will be more like 31 maybe.
  16. Just noticed that you’re non-UK so my MOT comment is probably not valid! But if by ‘gripping every kerb’ you mean that the steering tends to drift excessively down the road camber to the kerb, then that could well be down to incorrect tracking - possibly caused by wear. Considering what else has been happening, you might also check that the front wheels are pointing straight ahead when the steering wheel is central! After all, it’s possible that the car suffered some front end damage and repair before you got it?
  17. I feel like i''m the only one who still carries around a load of CD's with me lol. When the young salesman was first showing me the car, he laughed about the fact it still had a CD player fitted as though it was an old 8-track tape cassette (remember them!) - he seemed somewhat surprised when I told him that's how I listen to my music.
  18. I still have this weird stat of being an owner but having never seen one on the road (obviously excluding the one i'm driving, and the ones I went to look at in showrooms!) I took mine out last weekend, and when parked up, someone came over and started chatting, saying he loved the car, and had seen another one the day before, so I said he had seen one more than I had on the road!
  19. Renewed today with Aviva Premier as in previous years @£660.
  20. I forgot about this forum as I used to be on the other Lexus forum a few years back when I brought my Lexus sc430. I may be late to the conversation but I red parking brake, Abs and 2 VSC lights on my car and my garage fixed the issue by replacing steering angle sensor and rear arm control arm. Unfortunately both Lexus parts so not a cheap job. I hope this helps someone who may have the same issue Lexy fanatic

  22. Yeah if the chrome and black are reversed it’s because it’s a post-2022 car.
