For me, the carbon edition only works in two colours. Red isn't one of them.

Now if only they offered that with a Clove leather interior!

Once you’ve had alcantara, leather becomes second choice.

Yep, £1500 to scorch your arse in the Summer and repair freeze it come winter. Also, great to slide around on a seat in a 450+ BHP car

😂🤣😂😜

You just gotta love leather

Not sure about you Dav but I wear trousers whilst driving, never scorched my nethers on a leather seat, plus mine are ventilated and for cooler days, heated :zorro:

The only leather car seat I've slid about on was in the rear of a V6 Camry, about 30yrs ago, (whilst being driven around the Yorkshire Dales before someone comes back with a smutty comment  )

On a slightly more serious note, do these alcantara seats wear well? Those I've seen always look rather tired. They can't be easy to clean?

Well I had a certain race company make this accessory it’s essential for the vertically challenged and they made it material specific for my car all this and no one laughed.........

I had alcantara seats on a couple of Subarus. They wore very well and cleaned up nicely. Though I didn't spill much fluid on them

You never wear shorts. Ventilated seats will blow tepid air on your arse AFTER you’ve burnt it 😂

In all honesty, with the mileage I do and pampering my F gets, wear doesn’t concern me. However, as many have said before, good quality Alcantara is hardy.

As for cleaning, leather is excellent for family wagons - I wouldn’t have anything else. As for the F, my kids are only allowed in it after completing a lengthy application form. If and only this gets approved by me, they can sit in the car - but I insist the kids are cling filmed wrapped before entering the vehicle 😀
