I was thinking of cutting out the mesh and fixing some mountings for the new stuff? but my car DIY isn't the best.

How much stress does the mesh part take in the bumper keeping its shape?

I was chatting with Pete about this at Gaydon, apparently the plastic mesh-thingy is part of the bumper, and cant simply be removed..

yep, was about to say, pete said it was almost near impossible... however to waht lengths would go?

yeah it is moulded to the bumper, you could try cutting it out, probably much easier to just stick new mesh on top of it ???

depends on the mesh though, if it is similar to the sports grill, then you will see the other one through it, and it'll look :yack:

No...No...No...i never said it was impossible.

If your careful and cut out just the mesh but leave the lip around the inside of the bumper you can change it to whatever you want,i'll show you at the next meet i attend :whistling:

This is what i was going to do, to match the front lip, like pete was saying just cut it out so you have about 3-5mm lip all the way round to fit the new Mesh to :winky: i will post some pic,s as soon as i do it , as there is a lot out there thinking of doing it :whistling:

When i do mine i will be using the lip to fold the mesh round and use rivets to hold it in place.
