Hi everyone

I’ve been trying to search just how many Ls460 have been sold in the UK …….. very elusive data it seems

Might be I’m not searching correctly 🤔

Any thoughts on just HOW MANY have been sold new in the UK

Thanks

According to How many left.

595    LS460 SEL  2007 -2012

66      LS460 Luxury from 2012

13       LS460 F Sport from 2013

This shows the range

I was tempted by an F Sport recently but was surprised at the low equipment levels. No sunroof, no radar cruise, no heated steering wheel, no spare wheel.

Wow just 674 left ……..   Wonder how many began life here in the Uk !
there would have been a few write-offs I’m thinking …….. BUT initial sales possibly well under the 1000 mark 🤔

The recent figure for Ls400 left of @1100 mentioned here recently is huge then

We are so fortunate, or indeed very wise to have and enjoy our very special cars

I posted the following in August last year based on numbers from that site.

It shows that for the UK total numbers on the road were as follows:

LS400 (1989 to 1996) peaked at 5.3k and the LS400 Auto (1997-2000) peaked at 2.3k which gives a UK total of 7.6k across 11 years (1989-2000).
For the LS430 (2000-2006) that number was 2.4k.
For the LS460 (2007-2017) that number was 849.
For the LS600 (2007-2017) that number was 564.
For the LS500 (2017-2023) that number was 122.

So 674 out of 849 is a pretty good survival rate.

I’m quite shocked at the relatively low numbers of Ls’s’ sold …… and initially supporting the Main Dealer network, appearing as High Quality showrooms …… and complimentary coffee too 😄

Must have been quite an event in one’s life to pop along to buy a brand new early Ls400

Yes, but mostly you did that at a Toyota garage.

Ah, I had assumed( daft I know ) that Lexus Main Dealer stand alone showrooms started on Day One….. dopey of me of course  🤣

Wondering  at what stage Toyota decided to manifest the Lexus brand with its own marque Showrooms estate ……. just my mind being overly inquisitive …….. only the strategists in Japan would know I’m sure 🤔
