Diagnostic On Navigator

hi,

from memphis of the german loc i found this:

how to get your diagnostic data of your is200 on the navigator screen?

with the audio unit off and the navigator screen open, press and hold the following keys with your (left hand) thumb and finger: key 1 and 6 of the audio unit and press cd key with your other finger (hand) 3 times fast. now you will see the menu system check on the navigator screen.

not sure how this works since i don't have a navigator in my car but wanted to share this info.

original text:

on the GS, you have to hold down two buttons on around the screen - (from memory climate and menu) and then cycle the sidelights 3 times - I have the exact instructions in the manual if anyone really wants them

If had a couple of looks - there's not much in there that's any help - it's only the Nav diagnostics, not them car/engine ones

On other models you can press hidden buttons on the touch screen - not an option on the IS as it doesn't have one.

which hidden buttons col? :whistling:

You need to be stopped with the handbrake on - possible in Park as well.

Press display to bring up the brightness/contrast adjustments the press the areas in the picture - start at the top then bottom three times.

To get out of the mode you need to turn off the ignition.

There are a couple of useful things, one will show you GPS tracking information and the other is vehicle speed - you can see how much the speedo is out.

You can also get the info from the method Rod posted (maybe slightly different between CD and DVD versions).

What happens if you use different fingers ? Different menus ? :iraqi-info-minister:

Yep - certainly is. Initial diagnostics are English but the extended menu is in Japanese. Someone on here translated it a while ago but I can't find it.

While in diag mode, do the same again (hold info, lights on/off 3 times) for the extended menu.

IS dvd nav is with unit on hold down the info button and turn side light's on and off 3 times
