Right, major dilemma :whistling:

i'm flying out to the states at easter to visit my folks (in california).

whilst i'm over there, myself, the old man, and my uncle are planning a weekend trip to Las Vegas!!

apart from blowing all our cash on the poker table, i'm gonna hire an 'exotic' car/'supercar.'

only problem is that i can't decide what to go for!!!!

i've limited the list to the following:

Ferrari 348 Spider

Ferrari F355 Spider

Dodge Viper GTS

Dodge Viper SRT/10

Dodge Viper RT/10

Porsche 996

Corvette Z06

Plymouth Prowler

Hummer H2 (just for fun factor!!!)

There are others, but they were the one's that stuck out.

what would you guys go for???

Cheers

rob

When i was in Vegas on my honeymoon it was also my 30th birthday, so my wife hired me the 355 spider for 5 hours. It was great driving down the strip. Just make sure you organise insurance before you go. I think the insurance worked out about £20 for the 5 hours. Make sure you wear a hat as well :winky:

At my last job, I had the opportunity to drive :

F550 Maranello - drove quite a bit :D :D F*** me :D :D :D :D :D :D

F360 Spider Modena - drove a couple of times with someone following :crybaby:

S600 SEL Merc

928s4 porsche

If your posing a Ferrari it has to be.

Everybody looks, it was great.

The others were just - another merc or porsche

The 550 was best, but in Vagas a F355 spider would be the one

They don't offer the 550 or 360 modena unfortunately!!

whenever i'm over there i always notice a fair few, maybe common isnt the right word (it is for the hummers) but I've certainly seen a fair few of them.

still cant decide if I like them or not!

yea, an acquired taste i think!! personally, i think they're very classy.

as for the hummer; yes they're common, but they look like great fun!!!!

do NOT go for the Ferrari 348...

I've owned one, and they're cr*p -- poor stability at high speed, cabin for contortionists, etc. They should never have introduced them to replace the 328, and should have kept the 328 going until the launch of the 355 only 3 years later. Their production didn't last very long anyway (and thank goodness).

The 355 is probably the nicest of the modern Ferraris ever built (though some would argue that the 360 is nicer .. I prefer the 355 personally with the 360 in close second place). If it's one with the F1 gearbox, then all the better .. they're fun to drive, and it's actually a proper F1 gearbox (not a "tiptronics" type which is just an automatic gearbox with a manual selector) so has a proper clutch (but it's electro-hydraulic and controlled by the ECU rather than the driver). My 355 GTS that I sold a couple years ago had the F1 gearbox. Was the nicest car I've owned and driven. Just not very practical with a growing family and leaving it sitting in the garage for most of the year with little opportunity to drive it.

The dodge viper could be quite cool, but I've heard that they suffer a bit of stability problems as well.
