Looks like i raided a tuner shop

HKS Racing Header, says 4-2-1, looks more like 4-1.

toys%20005.jpg

Grounding kit from 'Ultra' charchol, so less noticeable to the eye ;)

toys%20007.jpg

Apexi Induction box, will make some cold air funneling directly in also.

toys%20008.jpg

Greddy Oil Cooler kit. Went for 9 row due to space constraints with the FMIC.

toys%20009.jpg

TRD Thermostat.

This is very cool unit, increases the spark size, highly rated. The stock engine cover won't fit as they will sit ontop of the coil packs, so they supplied a fibreglass end panel to cover the cambelt.

I have plans for this, will be making a carbon fibre/fibre glass engine cover myself ;)

Should mate nicely with the Denso Irriduims i have to fit.

finally.. the brains of the operation, Apexi Power FC ECU. This replaces the stock ECU and gives infinant tuning configs.

Looks great Am. :)

Thermostat will be fun to fit - I know mine was.

Same oil cooler I have too - have you noticed high oil temps then?

When you planning on fitting? Will you be dynoing before/after to see gains?

Wish I was as rich as you... :(

Thanks Zee.

I might get some help on the Thermostat, i read your guide you wrote... i'd prefer not to graze my knuckles in the cold tbh lol

As for oil, i think stock Altezza's should come with oi coolers, they get sooo hot lol

Will fit all the bits and have her mapped/dyno'd. Would be nice to do before and after but i don't have the time and money to do that lol

Looking fwd to be able to actually drive it how it was supposed to be... looking fwd to it!

btw, who fitted your turbo kit?

I might want all the above fitting then off to Thor for mapping etc...

cheers.

Nice stuff there mate !

Did that manifold come with the balancing chamber already welded on ......... or did you get that done your self ?

It's similar to mine .................

Its how it came dude...

Us Altezza owners are spoiled for choice on tuning parts :D

But ripped off in another with the prices lol

Anything over stock would be great

Dunno mate... 270-280 is probably the most i'd expect to achieve.... maybe more if i can get pulley sorted for the s/c, but then i'll need injectors and fuel pump...

wait and see i guess

Japanese cars tend to have poor grounding wire. Its mostly done for a piece of mind. I spent alot of money on the ECU i'd want to know i have good size ground cables. OFC wire is also a bonus. not that i suspect OE stuff woud oxidise

Oi!

It wasn't too exspensive...

:winky:

Well, it's all relative anyway - you love your car and have have the disposable income so you look after it and dress it up. I love my girlfriend - but I don't think it would go down to well if I tried to order new parts for her from Japan... :D

Bet you're itching to install it all...

  • 3 weeks later...
I was trying to work out where I had seen the TM Works Ignite kit - and then realised it was Bernard who orginally posted it... :D

http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=23574

How's this kit shape up, worth it? Is the factory spark really that poor, is is this mod only worthwhile after forced induction?

Speak to Chisang, he ran these before boost.

I know people who swear by them, they do work and you can feel a difference.

Should go down well with the IK22s....

Boy i have alot of stuff to install, and more still on the way haha :D

AM,

I'm running IK24 now :shifty: But the engine may run a 'tat rough with the Ignite REV initially but the throttle response is really good.

P.S. I still couldn't locate those injectors from qcl. :tomato: the mechanics must have mistakenly thrown them away as they were wrapped in newspapers :crybaby:
