Hey folks, i've been following this forum for many months now and hopefully will join many of you in becoming a Lexus owner within the next month (providing there are no more delays)

Anyway, myself being 23 years of age and the Lexus IS250 SE being my first car (i.e the first car i have ever bought, not driven) i was wondering what the average age of all you lexus owners are, if you dont mind me asking?? The few times i have seen a new IS, it always appears to be an old guy behind the wheel?? The reason i went for Lexus was because i was fed up with BMW, Mercs, and Audis, just seem too common and i could get some exclusivity with the Lexus, and ofcourse the reliabaility etc.......

It would be interesting to know, so be honest !!!

@72 owned and drive most still quick, and consider most 50 somethings old farts

28.... This is my first Lex, and from what I've been experiencing so far, most likely not my last.... :D

Previous car: BMW 318i (E46). A truly marvellous driving machine when it's working fine.... but when it gets "middle-age" (not even "old") and gets cranky.... :tsktsk: Probably my last Bimmer....

Still enjoying my new Lex... :D

i'm 19 and looking for an IS se/sport...

car history 'til now is:

saxo 1.1i :lol::lol:

BMW mini cooper - was a cat D repair and the shoddiest job ever, so with the refund got a

MG ZR 120 +

Ford Focus "Black" Ltd. edition that was modified...

then nothing for the past five months! - never actually realised how dependant i'd become on a car! :crybaby:

and despite the lexus having the highest insurance group out them all....its the cheapest to insure :duh: :duh: ....i love no claims bonus!!

22, had it about a month. Much better than my Rover 214 for the commute to Uni.

Most of the older drivers will have probably bought their's from new, and most of the younger drivers will have a 2nd hand one no doubt. I know I do, ;)

Are there any women who own lexi ? I don't think I didn't notice any posts from any.

Rich.

I'm just 23, bought my 200 sport for myself as a bit of a 23rd birtday present, used to drive a 306 and b4 that a 1984 mini wich was a right laugh. Didnt really like the 306 coz it was a bit boring and diesel :( guess thats why it doesnt have a decent following like the mini and lexus.

Loving my IS ... well all except for the CD player (err3) lol but im sure i can breath life back in to it somehow! :D

error 3 is a jamed cd isnt it. I took mine apart and took the cds out, had to cut one out! really easy just watch the springs on the top. If you take it out and you are unsure pm me or you could send it to me and I'd get it out for you.

Anyway Im 23 and I brought this IS200 at 22 for my wife. liked it so much when I drove it home for her as a present I ended up selling my car and using the Lex as our only car.

Guys

One thing I do hope is that the IS 250 does not get the "Chav" reputation that the IS200 has. I know that that may upset a few of you and honestly it is not my intention but the only IS200's I ever see are driven by twenty something’s in Burberry Caps! At least it is bringing down the average age of a Lex driver.

sad thing is I used to sell Burberry and aquascutum when I was 17 to Rich older people usually around 50 ish I really liked the quality of it but then sudenly all young people started to buy the fake stuff and gave burberry a bad name. :offtopic:

40 and newly divorced  So now I'm gonna find out just how much of a bird puller a black 200 SE is

ask Kaz :D

I dont think its just the car I think its all the sweets he keeps in there that atracts them! :P

This Topic might have been better covered as a "POLL"..... with age brackets ... under 20, 20 - 25, 26-30..... etc

please start a new one as poll. It'd be alot easier to see.

Im 26  got my Lex when I was 24.

My first car @ 20 was a Mk2 Golf GTI lowered & kitted tastefully NOT the horrors u see on the roads nowadayz!

Then for some odd reason (think i was possessed!) I got a Mercedeez 190E :duh: It had the works, Spax suspension, Clifford alarm 18" rimz. But I was attracting the wrong kind of attention & the car looked more suited to a pimp or a drug dealer!

Im growing board of the IS200 now too, not enough punch & not enough funds either! for that matter!

Have to stick with it for now But far the best choice. B)

25, got my IS when I was 24, before this I had a Rover 200, before that it was a Nissan Sunny. So in a way always been driven by Japanese :D

36 and just joined the Lexus Club... wish I had done it years ago.... Enjoying my IS200 soooooo much well apart for a few teething problems....

My 1st car all those years ago was a Morris Ital !!!! :D :D :D Im laughing so much when I type this....... Ive just sold my Astra GSI full racing spec to have a more sensible car and located this site... (oh what a mistake that was)

Ive had so many cars I am surprised I remember them all, but its strange as I only remember the registration of my new Lexus.....

Im pleased to see that there is such a wide range of ages so far but I am wonder if there are any other ladies in the house ?? :eerrrmm:
