60K Service At Woodford...anyone Had One Done There?

Not going well so far. Cambridge are asking for £895 all in. Woodford are after £850 all in, Toyota Chelmsford are looking in to a price for me.

Guys, for info I had mine done at Cambridge in July for £600 all in. They were really good too. I'm sure they would price match if you give them a try.

Hi, I called and asked them and they denied doing it at that price! I said a forum member had it done and they said it can't have been the full 60k service.

Haha. I wouldn't use them now simply for lying. I have the receipt for a 60k ISF service and it includes oil, spark plugs, diff oil and brake fluid replacement along with the other items with 'every 60,000 miles' annotated against them.

I can only assume that the guy who served me wasn't the one who gave you the quote, as I was also quoted £895 originally but they price-matched someone on here who also got a £600 major service (from Woodford I think).

I'm struggling to get any discount at the moment even after saying you had yours done for 600 with the Cambridge dealer :(

I will also keep an eye on this thread. Not because I need a 60k service on an IS-F, but rather curious on how dealers can have such huge variances on their pricing!

Hi Stu, have you asked them if they give discount for lexus owners club members. Mines due its 40k service and I phoned around a few dealers close to me. Tunbridge Wells came in at £580 and Canterbury quoted £430 with the members discount. Both are part of the same dealer group but one offers the discount and the other doesn't. Membership cost £60 and gives you 15% off at Halfords so more than paid for itself.

Gents, Woodford's service dept is useless! I've rang them a few times and they have no clue on whats going on. Maybe send them a copy of the invoice and discuss that way. I personally would not go to Woodford after seeing them mess really basic things.

So....Called Woodford this AM. They were defiant until supplied with Pete’s plate which they looked up and confirmed the price he was serviced at for 60k.

On the back foot then said recently Lexus has introduced a pricing policy across all dealers. Clearly on the back foot i was silent there was some umming and ahhing and they agreed to speak with their manager and come back to me. I await their call. I smell bullsh@t re the 'policy' and seemed like a knee jerk reaction to me.

Also mentioned Cambridge denied giving a £600 60k service to a forum member and said he and I are VERY disappointed with this response from them.

Should it be this difficult? I know forums bring about this sort of knowledge for many and the cheaper prices dont always stay with hust that person who is having work done BUT they need to appreciate this and when called out match the price. If some folk dont question it then fair enough but come on Lexus. Sort it out!

When you consider we chose to make them one of the only IS-F dealerships by sending 3/4 cars there, they would do well to try and keep us interested.

I'm seriously considering trying another dealership after this. :(

Me to Pete but Cambridge is next closest and they seem just as bad on this issue. Having stated they are very good to fellow members, like you, i am disappointed with the way this has been handled.

Especially as we buy sundries like nav updates, boot mats etc as well.

Just spoken to Lexus Leeds and Bradford and they both quoted £895. I advised them that Woodford had serviced for much less but they both stated it is now fixed pricing across all of lexus. Not having much luck here.

Maybe it's worth speaking to your local Toyota dealer instead?

I hate to say it, but my local tuning specialist can do a better job for half the price! :(

Ironic that Lexus dealers are now uniting, albeit with inflated servicing costs! :(

I have always found Lexus Guildford to be the cheapest, for servicing

costs, normally Sidcup match it, not sure what group Guildford are in, but

perhaps with this new price match policy things may change.

Result! Just had a call back from Woodford and they have agreed to undertake the 60k service and MOT for £665 all in :)

That is a saving of £270 if i had swallowed the first quote, which i would have done if i wasn't a forum member. I have to say once evidence was provided they were VERY good.

Sadly you will all have to go down a similar route i imagine :(
