Ladies and Gentlemen,

JAE 2005 is upon us once again!

With JAE05 just around the corner, we feel that it is once again the

time to start getting the planning information out to you.

As some of you will be aware, JAE05 WILL NOT be held at Billing

Aquadrome this year. There was however a positive reason for this -

primarily due to the substantial increase in numbers for 2004 up by over

50% on the previous year with over 15,000 people attending over the

whole weekend. This was a fantastic result.

For the Organisers of JAE05, however, it did leave them with problems in

terms of food stalls and the amount of space available for camping.

This is what the Organisers of JAE05 Have to say....

"Billing Aquadrome did make an effort to keep the toilets in full

working order and open shower blocks earlier. Litter was cleared away

and 24-hour security was better than previous years. However, they too

were caught out with the numbers and are at the very limit of their

capabilities. All the positive and negative feedback has been reviewed

and researched for 2005. The Organisation have had numerous meetings

with Billing and other venues. It has been decided that Japanese Auto

Extravaganza will be moved to The East of England Showground, which is

only about 20miles from Billing Aquadrome.

The Organisation's rationale behind this move is:

a} The capacity of JAE is now overwhelming for Billing Aquadrome b} Lack

of support in Marshalling and Security c} Too much reliance on Billing

Aquadrome means insufficient control for JAE

With the above in mind, JAE 2005 will have a new venue, The East of

England Showground. This is a secured venue, large enough to hold ALL

car clubs/traders and have a designated camping areas. The area that is

dedicated to JAE is flat, grassed and with some hard standing areas.

There is a speedway track with grandstand. There will be three main

gates for entry and exit which have been split into Clubs, Traders and

Public. Public parking will be in the general carpark. This reduces any

chance that they park on clubs or traders stands. With the space

provided by the new showground we can significantly increase the space

allocated to all the cars. That means the squeeze of recent years will

now be a thing of the past."

So, with the location now locked down, it's time to get the LOC pitch

sorted.

To secure your space at JAE05, we ask that you pay by paypal using the

following link: The cost a whopping £1.25 (including Paypal fee)

http://www.goldmembers.co.uk/loc/order/description.php?id=11

Please leave your name and forum user name as a Reference..I will anotate the list when confirmation of stand Payment has been recieved

NON-GOLD Members can still reserve there spot by sending a Cheque for £1 marked with Forum name to the following address:

Lexus Owners Club

United Kingdom

Gate prices for entrance to JAE are £15 For the weekend, and are payable at the Venue.

We also need to start to see how many would like to help with the

organisation, co-ordination and logistics of putting on the clubs stand

on behalf of the members.

What we will need to know is those of you who will be attending, on the

22 - 24th July 2005, and also which of you will be bringing equipment to

assist in the smooth running of the weekend.

We are hoping that we will be able to get in the day before as we have

done in the previous years for those die hards that like to help with

the set up.

Anyway folks - lets get the ball rolling. We want to see you at the

Worlds largest Jap car show (Outside of Japan anyway!).

See you all there,

Mat and Zee.

Is it £15 for those that go one day , go home and go back the next day? Or would you have to pay seperatly each day?

id say the 15 will cover you all weekend, at Billing no one stopped you coming in or out, you just showed your ticket, so i think you would be fine

UPDATE

ok, This year will see some better organisation from the organisers in the sense of who and what will be allowed to enter and camp at JAE.

so much so, when you arive at the Gates and Pay, you will get a wrist band, this you must wear all weekend, as if you are found not wearing it, you COULD be asked to leave.

the way that they will know that your arriving for JAE is the fact your driving a Japanese car!.....If however your arriving in anything other than a japanese car (Lexus), you will be diorected to the Public car park, UNLESS your car is classed as a support vehicle for the club, in which case it would have to be Vouched for by the club.

This has all been put into place to prevent some of the stupidness of years gone by.

likewise, this will prevent the problem we had l;ast year of people just dumping there cars on the club plot.....we find security, and the car will be moved..... :)

Got a good number so far, but the club Pitch can accomodate, more.

come on Guys/Gals, its a Great weekend, and not Just about cars, its a great chance to put Faces to names, and meet new Freinds.
