  1. Being curious, and with the wonders of technology I've "removed" my badges, what's the verdict?

  3. Well i guess i may live n learn with the black. I have been showing my other car at vw shows last couple of years and previous cars for last 15yrs or so. The ct will get cleaned weekly so dirt will not get chance to build up. Hopefully lol Been showing this for the last two years, shes a mk2 golf g60 edition one supercharger in lhd. I know theres no love on a lexus forum but shows im used to cleaning. the superchargers like a grenade waiting to blow so ive had my time with it. Selling and trading the up in and returning to lexus tommorow. Will get a couple a pics up soon as i can.

  4. First of all, definitely UK gallons if it's a UK car but as to the other bit I'd say it depends on how long you're abroad and if you're living there or coming back to the UK regularly. What I mean is, even when driving around Europe on holiday, litres/100km means nothing to me but if you're living out there and want to fully get into the metric mindset, fair enough. Some metric measurements seem 'natural' and easy to use, but with this, I always think in terms of miles/gallon and always will - much like I'll always think in terms of pints of beer rather than half-litres

  7. You could always have the lower half "wrapped" if its two tone or the whole car. What did some Footie guy have his Bentley wrapped in - Camouflage if I remember correctly. looked terrible imo

  8. What! (Spills tea and cup & saucer fall to the shagpile). You mean you have not bought the OE oil from Lexus? That unctuous, gossamer liquid strained through the under garments of a 1000 vestal virgins? Half the forum won't speak to you now. Wonder who makes Asdas stuff...

  9. I was told that moving it a short distance does not allow the ignition sequence to be completed. The accelerator then needs to be floored when starting thereafter. The remedies are; 1. Do not move it a short distance, or 2. Leave the engine running for a good 30 seconds so as to allow the sequence to be concluded. Regards John

  10. You are so lucky then, able to keep your car in the best possible condition. Lovely colour as well.

  11. Oh yes, I started my LS400 once from cold, turned it off after just moving it forward a couple of feet, it wasn't at all happy when it was next started.

  13. My IS200t is Celestial black with black wheels....Just getting used to the black wheels. I didn't learn my lesson from my last car buy hey ho when black is detailed it looks the business. The wheels seem to dull to a matt black when dirty, haven't noticed a brown tinge yet but I guess I haven't left it long enough..

  14. Well the spoiler is smoothed and painted! Really happy with how it turned out looks as good as I expected! So a nice 7am start has the spray filler rubbed down, masked up and primer applied! Primer then rubbed down, tested the lower piece to make sure it still fits and looks right Car masked up and ready for paint All painted and looking awesome! Built up and back outside Back home and times for a damn good clean so I can see how it really looks without dust and grime everywhere!

  15. Looks awesome! The best thing about it is that it looks like it came from the factory. Whats next then? The dashboard piece around the nav screen? :P I wonder if the black IS-F one would fit.......

  16. The dash piece turned up today and they look amazing, over the moon with them. These are not great pictures as I have had very little time to fit them and the car is a right mess, but should give you an idea. Really happy with the finish. The logos look superb and the match to the genuine F-Sport gear knob is superb so all in all a great job. Looks so much better than the strange metallic blue that Lexus originally used on the car, no idea why as the blue didn't match with anywhere else on the car. Feels much sportier inside not, much less "Grandad"

  17. I record the mileage every time I fill up for expense purposes, and the graph below is monthly average fuel consumption. My journey to work is the same every day, and I drive about 16K miles a year. It's mainly country roads, with lots of junctions so lots of braking/accelerating. It's interesting to see the summer/winter fluctuation.
