  1. That's what i'm waiting to find out, my dealer said end of October!!!
  2. My 250 Sport had them, I guess it was for better road holding, although it was a pain 'cos you couldn't rotate tyres.
  3. There's no having a look or a test drive. It's the same Hybrid system as the IS. We had a look inside and it's really only a two seater.
  4. OK so it's the tractor engine that makes the tractor noise. That's why we test drove a BMW 330e to see how a "geared" box works with in a hybrid car, no harsh noise and totally different cruise control use. My wife still wants an IS FSport next, so that's us for the next 3 years.
  5. " It is not the CVT that makes the sound it is silent" What about when you are using the cruise control and you want to increase your speed as the vehicle in front has accelerated? When you push the CC lever up the engine races as if you had floored the accelerator and the noise increases with it, no way is this silent. IMHO.
  6. Am I the only person who has tested a BMW 330e and not been impressed by the "normal" auto box? The more I drive the IS with its CVT drone the more I dislike it.
  7. Test drove a Tesla S 75 yesterday, very impressive but not at £56,000. Will wait and see if the Model 3 will stay at $ 35,000 And what the exchange rate will be in 2018 when they are due in this country. Also tested a BMW 330e last month, and this is what I wish the IS350h would be like. Plug in with about 35 miles range, a 7 speed box, not CVT, so smooth to drive, quiet I'd have one except my wife wants a 2017 FSport IS, so,we will see....
  8. Are you getting the 2017 updated model? Can't find out when they will be available.
  9. A good place to put a forward facing camera, in fact you could get the camera man and sound technician in there.
  10. I use CC all the time, my wife will not. I don't like the way the engine revs so hard when you want to increase your speed using the CC lever. I had a test drive of a BMW 330e and their CC is brilliant. There is a little lever on the steering wheel and with a flick up or down you can change your speed and see the readout on the dash. Also the auto box is so smooth and quiet. However at £40,000 for a car with the same speck as an IS 330h, it's a lot of money.
  11. The Lexus website says only the driver gets adjustable lumber support, however the 2017 upgrade may be different.
  12. Hi Chris, long time no see.  We were at BMW Stafford 2 weeks ago having a test drive of a 330e hybrid.  Very nice motor but everything is an extra. For a similar speck of our IS300h we got the BMW up to £40,000.  I liked it, Marion didn't, so even though we got it down to 36,000, we are staying with Lexus and will order an Fsport, probably blue like yours when the 2017 upgrades are released.  We test drove one at Wolverhampton last month and it drives better than our 300h Luxury.  I think they have stopped production of the 2016 Fsports, but I can't find out when the new ones will be available.

Have you bothered with Superguard?  Where did you get your car from?

no supaguard or anything like that, went to stoke in the end for the best deal and got the only blue one in the country at the time, love the 200t, powerful but refined and economical too, get avg 30mpg at present around town

  13. What colour is the interior? We are waiting for the 2017 upgrade, I didn't think they did a light interior.
  14. Yes i know the photo is sideways, but i can't see how to rotate it! Anyway yes i am, on my fourth drivers leather seat cover and second passenger one. They have all worn in the same place, even the load IS300h with only 2000 miles on the clock was starting to show signs of wear. Lexus Wolverhampton change them no problem as the car is still under warranty, but surely this is an issue that Lexus should be addressing.
  15. Has anyone found out if it's possible to add extra speed cameras to the ones on the navigation screen. I know it's Tomtom based but i cannot find where they are hidden on the memory card. The reason I ask is that i get free updates of cameras from Pocket GPS and i have to have a Garmin on the dash to watch for cameras as the built-in ones are so out of date.
  16. Hi Richard I have the Galaxy S3 and have no problems connecting to the car.
  17. When ours was three days old we took it on a trip to Kent, M54, M6, A14,A11 M25 and M2. I noticed we were only doing 1500 revs at 70MPH and got 52MPG, not bad. It's down quite a bit in this cold weather but still way better than the IS250 Sport we had.
  18. Hi Alan, i had a look at the layout for a 2M rig connection, but as we only use it on RAYNET duties i opted for a 12V battery in the boot and fir-lined magmount. The car battery is in an easier place to work on than under the bonnet, can't you just take a direct feed from it? The only problem is the aerial and £250 for a roof rack is a bit steep. 73's Jim G6NOL
  19. Just found Photobucket with photos of old Lexus so thought I would try pickies of the new one. Don't even need Photbucket now, thank *** for that. Now just got to edit profile. Watch this space. No can't change the bit at the bottom "IS250 Sport etc" any thoughts?
  20. To get back to the question CT200h or IS300h, depends if you want a hatch-back or a saloon.. When our IS250 Sport was in for service we were loaned a CT200h. I had never driven an automatic before but found it so easy. Unfortunatley it rode badly on the 17" wheels, one section of the M54 was like driving over sleeping policemen. I have seen comments that the CT is better on 16" wheels. Anyway we (my wife and I) also tried the Toyota Prius and Toyota Yaris hybrids as i think they all have the same engine and drivetrain. All were on 17" wheels and all drove very hard. However i prefered the Prius apart from the poor rear view and that big whole under the centre consul. My wife like the Yaris. All would have done us but Lexus had the offer of the IS300h Luxury with satnav etc and we were sold. I wouild say that the ride is "refined". We even got folding rear seats which the 250Sport didn't have. Unfortunatly its 4" wider than the 250 Sport and so has to sit on the drive. Now I am sold on the CVT gear box and it may not be as fast as a BMW but it's NOT a BMW and at 47mpg i'm not compaining. So you have to decide catch or saloon? Oh yes as for the lack of run-flat, our old 250 Sport never had a puncture in 7 years and the IS200SE before never one in 6 years.
  21. We've have had our Luxury for a week but aren't bothered with this offer. We didn't want an F Sport as we wanted to get away from the bone crunching ride that our last IS250 Sport had. It was down to the 18" wheels and low profile tyres, Rear ones were over £200 to change and as they are wider than the fronts you can't rotate them. So it's agreat deal if you want an FSport.
  22. That's how the dealer showed me. I will have a play and let you know. I have a separate Garmin with all the speed cameras not just the fixed ones as on the Lexus.
  23. Sorry can't seem to squeeze all of the photo in. An d i can't edit my details to take the new model, any ideas?
  24. You can stop the navigation bleeping at speed cameras by turning the POI speed display off in the set up menu. Menu- Setup-Navigation and i think it's disabling the "Show Speed Limit Info" in the list.
