  1. Download the zip file. Double click on it and (providing you have an extractor installed) it will list the contents. Select cd_clint.dll and click extract. It will then ask where you want to extract it to. Assuming you have accepted the defaults when you installed Kazzaa, navigate to c:-program files-kazaa and select ok. (ignore the dashes - backslash doesn't seem to work here) On a few systems I've seen, kazaa also drops it into the windows (or winnt) system32 folder so do the same extract routine and drop it there also. If it asks to overwrite say yes. I've had a quick look at your registry entries and you have a shed load of other spyware running. I'll go through it properly and PM you back shortly. By the way, restart your your machine after you copied the file as it may be living in memory and not appear to work correctly after you've copied it.
  2. You need to go into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE instead of HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG, which is why it never gave you the other selections I mentioned. Matt is dead right - Kazaa has loads of spyware in it and won't run without it. Kazaa lite is better for this. Error 1031 is usually because Cydoor can't run (Installed any Adware remover?) . Try the patch he has linked. I'm concerned as to why Norton has stopped which is why I would like to see if anything is running on startup. This seems remarkably like you've been infected with the W32.Klez.gen@mm worm. Give the removal tool a try : http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen...ter/FixKlez.com Klez disables both Norton and ActiveX. If you at least get ActiveX back up you can do an online scan for anything else.
  3. Which OS are you running? Also, do you remember the name of the file Kazaa is looking for and what error is it that Norton gives you? I may sound pedantic here but there are a couple of trojans/virus that get past Norton and disable it. If you want to PM me with the programs that are starting up in your registry this may give me a clue. Start REGEDIT and go to : HKey_Local_Machine-software-microsoft-windows-currentversion-run and make a note of the programs in the right pane and send them to me. (Just give me the title under its name - you don't need to copy the full path and everything). This way I can hopefully find if you are infected and what it normally does so we can repair it and the programs it has affected. If you can give me this info and the exact errors, hopefully I'll be able to help.
  4. I ordered some on saturday and they arrived today. (I paid by card). I've not put them in my car yet but tested them on my bench and can't say enough about them. They are very accurate, extremely well made and excellent value for money. Give them a call. I spoke to Mike - he is most helpful and gave me hints on install, etc.
  5. The best way is to sit in the car and try it. With the deadlocks on you can't open the doors from the inside. Without the deadlocks you can move the slider over and open them.
  6. Watch this space...... coming very soon with the extra info I have....... Full closure next ...........
  7. Great - thanks Duncan, this gives more scope and is definately usable. I've actually found a pulse signal that is negative for about 500ms upon alarm activation. It doesn't seem to correspond with anything other than the alarm receive signal - do you know anything about it? I need less than 5ua for about 10ms tops. I'd prefer a negative trigger as it saves on an extra transistor to switch from pos to neg on the monostable. Thanks everyone for the help and keep any wiring info coming - it will always be useful for future projects I have up my sleeve.
  8. Well, just come in for a warm up after spending hours looking for a neg. signal on alarm set. Fingers have stopped working. This weekend has been the only time I've had to try because of the bad weather. (And it's colder than you think after a while!) The circuit is done, mirror cables, etc traced - only this flippin' signal now! I may try another approach. I'm not sure yet, but the movement sensors housed in the light module may be positvely switched when the alarm is set - I could adapt the circuit if so. Having my coffee then back off out there...... Thanks to those who are helping me trying to get diagrams.
  9. You'll see him again I'll bet - run him over. No chance of anything from the Criminal Compensation Board? I believe they do cover property too.
  10. Good job you said that; I'd be flashing them and probably get a smack off someone. I actually work more towards the Birchwood side - Dalton Ave. Nope not my IS200 in their car park but could be in the Village car park as I go a few times a week. I'll keep my eyes open when I'm there now though, maybe catch you sometime.
  11. Mat - I live in Liverpool and also work in Warrington (most of the time). I now know I'll get home (cheers!). I'll be on the lookout for your car now.......... if you see a Black IS200 flashing at you like a looney - it's me.
  12. I think the only way is to drive both for a good few hours. It's down to personal preference and that is the only real way you are going to know. I've had both and prefer the Auto, but there are pro's and cons to both. Only you can decide but you will need to have them for a while to be fully sure. See if you can use one for the whole day.
  13. Old enough to be your big brother. Left myself wide open with "grammer" didn't I? Oh the joys of being corrected by a 14 year old..................
  14. Yep, I'm a scouser too. I know Wirral grammar well - used to repair the PC's in there....... The stick I got..........
  15. It seems as though many countries have links dating back many years. Even the Americans themselves many moons ago. I do believe it will open more than a can of worms. Too many innocent people will die due to reprisals. I don't agree with terrorist methods and I don't know what the answer is, but I certainly don't think war will be the solution - again, too many innocent people will die.
  16. You are obliged to notify your own insurance company even after admission and for the smallest of accidents. If you contact the other parties insurance they will notify yours as a matter of course. It will be recorded that you were "involved" in a claim. Best to sort it out between yourselves without involving the insurance companies if you can.
  17. Yep, definately. That's where the GPS receiver module is.
  18. If they aren't too bad you can use a stanley knife blade and slowly run it across the burn marks (width ways!) . This smooths out the burns and also helps blend in the surrounding felt. It's worth a try at least.
  19. I think you may have a problem here. I haven't been around the particular areas you are talking about, but I go all over the country and haven't had any problems at all. Actually I've been quite impressed with it. Go over the antenna connections or have it checked at the dealer.
  20. Fluff's dead right - there is no way there is going to be a supply in the boot already there (30A + at full load assuming 90% efficiency). 300w is high - wouldn't a 150w invertor do the job? Either way, I'd suggest following his advice.
  21. I leave it in D all the time. Maybe if I'm stopped for a while I'll push it into N or P. Don't worry about the clutch - automatics have a completely different system.
  22. I should be able to tell you exactly soon. I think the diagrams may be on their way to me..... (Cheers if you've sent it). Is it a kit you have or are you making your own lifters?
  23. Lexicon is dead right - the alternator provides more power to the system. Do you have this effect if only your side lights (not main beam) and nothing else is on? (Hrw, blowers, etc.) If so, I would definately say your idle is too low as well. If you know anyone with a Multitester (preferably digital), measure your battery voltage with the engine idling. It is set at 13.8v from the regulator in the alternator. (I'm not being pedantic Lexicon!) You may have a slight voltage drop at low revs which is noticeable but not critical to the operation of the car or charging of the battery. Do you need to increase the revs by a few hundred, or just a light touch on the accelerator for the difference to be noticed? I know it's hard to tell exactly, but what is the car idling at? If the revs are lower than normal then it would just be a trade off against idle revs and voltage level.
  24. I'm looking to get mine done all round when I get my new 200se auto. Just to diversify slightly, do these tints have metal in them? I only ask because I'm getting the satnav and if the rear window is done, does it affect the signal like it used to?
  25. Yep - same with mine. I thought it was the rear brakes at first but it does seem to be coming from underneath.
