Well after having my vehicle for nearly two years and it has done just over 90k, the front has decided not to raise at all and driving is rather bumpy shall we say. I have tried raising and lowering via the switch but no change occurs. I cannot hear any noise from the rear of side where the compressor is and have checked for loose cables/pipes etc but found none. The rear ride height actuator is physically ok, but have been unable to check the front as it is rather lower to get my head under and do not have a ramp or lift. I have checked OBDII codes with a generic reader and found no faults. I will attempt a TS diagnosis in the morning before contacting my local indie garage. Can anyone suggest anything else ? I have looked at the fuses box, but The Air Compressor appears to be part of a long fuse container that holds more than 1 fuse, but cannot remove it to examine it.The white plastic tool for single fuse doesn't help either.

Having just upgraded to an iPhone XR from an iPhone 6S I am having difficulties connecting to my car. I am also have problems connecting to my wireless Sony headphones. Both connected ok to the 6S. I am assuming it is the phone being a Bluetooth 5 version. Is any one else having the same problem ?? I have been on Apple websites and found no solution that works.

Considering RX450h

I keep on reading topics that go on about Hybrid and Air Suspension being costly to fix, but has any one actually had to have it done ? Do we need a survey of members an count those that have had problems against those that haven't so we can work out if this is not just scaremongering. -
I have a 2008 SE-L with air suspension, ML audio, NO sunroof, but with wood pack. I agree the wooden steering wheel clinched the deal with me. Looking at the service history and old invoices it has had one air strut changed. I have just had my MOT and have had to fork out for disks and pads all round and a new set of front shocks - but not the air parts of the front suspension. I wonder just how many of current air suspensions members have had problems so we can look at the figures and see whether there is a problem or just word of mouth that is maligning these models. Can we have some replies on this please ??

New RX 400h owner saying hello!

They'll get copied to the hard disk in the 450H, not sure if that has a Random function. -
Not according to my wife - she has her side at 16c

MY SE-L has developed a feeling of a wobble on the front offside under heavy braking, steering wheel wobbles when I remove my hands. At the last MOT I had an advisory "Front lower suspension arm rear bushes starting to perish (No Action required) " Is this likely to be the cause and is it an expensive / long job for and indi garage to fix. The one I use is some distance from me and would like to minimise the amount of time I am without a vehicle. Haven't has chance to jack it up and look at it yet.

RX450h (4thgen) problems.

I'm not a great fan of sunroofs, only used the one on my LS400 from the remote on hot days to let the heat out. Now having keyless entry on my RX450H SE-L which has no sun roof I don't miss it at all. Just more kit to wear out or go wrong. Love my power tail gate though. -
My LS400 was written off by my Insurance company as deemed too expensive to repair in Jan 2017. I have just checked the registration number on GOV MOT site and seems it was mot'ed in January this year. I assume it was bought from Insurance company and repaired so wonder if anyone here has this vehicle now. It is now registered as S286 GPN. If someone has this vehicle I still have the service booklet stamped upto 12/03/2015 and 170609 miles. I also have a couple of bits for it, spare wheel tray, tool kit, 6 CD cartridge and under seat tray/box and manual.1 Cheers Chris.

I'm sure I was áble to change the settings of dorr locking on my 2009 using the standard settings, as usual try reading the manual. I think it may work via the stgeering wheel button. I hope vehicles, even second hand aren't beiong sold with out manuals as the RX450 is a complex vehicle. -
I have need to replace my 35 year old trolley jack that I used on my LS400 without any problems. When jacking up my RX450H the jack started to leak oil, as I presume it was no rated to lift the RX. Before I commit to a new jack, has anyone any recommendations as which one to buy? I like to have the wheels off to check brakes and under wing areas and perform any easy repairs myself.

I don't understand their use. I rarely drive with my windows open and rely on my climate control to keep the temperature at a comfortable level. Oh I see you are in Yorkshire, so you probably don't run your AC as it is too expensive. -
Looking for an ls400

Try an RX, is different to LS but still Lexus quality. -
AC, not cold
ChrisM replied to dendonc's topic in LS 400 / Lexus LS 430 / Lexus LS 460 / Lexus 600h / Lexus 500h Club
Why question why I question, is this not a discussion forum ? I merely question the reasoning behind using a cooling system, and then allow that cooling to go out of a window/roof. The climate system cools/warms incoming fresh air, unless it is on recirculation. the C means conditioning so yes some form of drying does take place but also removes particles from the air in the filtration system. Using the climate in winter also provides quicker defogging when required. Perhaps the RX450H climate is more advanced than the LS400 that I previously owned. Certainly the cooled seats are useful. -

Why would you have the windows or roof open when you have climate ? Owning a Lexus is about travelling in style and comfort, not worrying about cost saved by turning off climate. -

AC is surely only one part of the Climate Control system. Set the temperature required in the cabin and leave it at that. The system will cool or heat the cabin until the temperature is reached and is then maintained. I often tell my wife that lowering the temperature in a sun heated car will not cool any quicker by lowering the temperature set on her side, until the compressor gets up to speed. The best thing to do in this situation is to use your remote, when approaching, to open all the windows and the moon roof to let out the hot. I never turn off my climate control, it knows better than I do to keep me cool/warm. -
I have noticed that I had water under the small battery on the black tray and also between the battery walls and the polythene cover around the battery. This manifested itself in condensation on the front screen and ice over the winter. Now the weather is better I managed to remove the majority of the liquid from the tray using a squeeze bulb sucker thing my wife had in her kitchen, but am still left with water around the battery walls probably due to capillary action. If I remove the polythene cover will this do any harm to the battery, I am assuming it is an original fit from 2009. I don't want to disconnect the battery as I don't want to lose sat nav and radio setting etc, Has anyone got an ideas where the liquid has come from, I don't believe it is battery related. Does the 450H suffer from water ingress from the rear lights as the 400, if so would it get into the area I have mentioned? I have just been out to the car and as it is hot today lifted up the boot floor and propped it open to hopefully dry out what is left

LS430 Build Thread

What a shame to cover a lovely wooden steering wheel. I had similar on mv DHP and loved its look and feel. It was one of the reasons I bought my RX450H, as it is fitted with a wooden steering wheel. Still horses for courses as they say
