  1. When on the Home screen, look top right you should see a icon for setting the display layout?
  2. So, why not have a system akin to headlamp assist, whereby the brake lamps are extinguished if the vehicle has been stopped for more than x seconds and the system detects a stopped vehicle behind?
  3. Constantly putting the autobox into N or P at lights is putting an awful lot more wear into the selector and the box generally. The owner's handbook always says leave in drive, unless your stop is going to be for an extended period. I can honestly say I have never been dazzled by the brake lights of the car in front in the queue and if I'm the last in the queue I'm quite conscious of drivers approaching me (at speed) and am pleased of the extra warning the illuminated brake lights (hopefully) give! Obviously different in a manual, as keeping one's foot on the clutch accelerates wear on the thrust bearing and the correct procedure is as has been mentioned above, put the car in neutral and handbrake/parking brake on
  4. Sure I read somewhere the Americans get artificial leather as standard, only genuine leather interiors as an upgrade, or only on the flagship models?
  5. I guess one has to remove the mirror housing and test the connections with a multimeter. I'm new to Lexus but on the Mercedes it was fairly quick and easy (and relatively common...)
  6. Possibly a broken wire in the mirror housing, if they have been folded a lot?
  7. Does the passenger mirror heat up ok? The mirror heaters only come on when the rear screen defogger is switched on (on my RC at least)
  8. Because Ford still hold the patent and have only licenced it out to a very few manufacturers
  9. I had Williams ceramic coat applied to my new RC. It'll be interesting to see how it performs, can't wash the car for a week to allow it to cure completely ..
  10. I'm sure I read in the owner's handbook about using a jug of warm water for clearing the side windows, or was that just to free the glass from the rubber surround? I know many drivers that use warm water to de-ice or defrost their windscreens.
  11. And the glass coat? Surely that now needs to be repaired/reapplied?
  12. Can you explain this? How did he cover that chip without using paint?
  13. From the owner's handbook for my RC ... "Seat heater timer control To enable seat heater timer control, press and hold the driver and front passenger seat heater switches at the same time when the vehicle is stopped until a buzzer sounds once. If a seat heater is turned on while seat heater timer control is enabled, the intensity of the seat heater will automatically change from Hi→Mid→Lo. The timing of the change in seat heater intensity differs depending on the temperature inside the cabin, etc. when the seat heater is operating. To disable seat heater timer control, press and hold the driver and front passenger seat heater switches at the same time until a buzzer sounds twice." I wonder if it's the same for your model? No mention regarding having to switch off before being able to use again though?
  14. Only approx 500 RC licensed on UK roads according to this website https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=✓&q=lexus+rc&commit=Search so, quite exclusive :) Why? Possibly because it's just a two seater with a smallish boot, got to be a niche market? Not likely to be an only car for most? That said there are three of us in my locale...
  15. My Premium Nav has automatically adjusted the time. There are options to set time zone and Daylight Saving
  16. Excellent products for all leather treatments https://www.liquidleather.com/pages/about-us
  17. TWOK (more correctly twoc but generally spelt with the k. More 'street' I guess) means Take Without Owner's Consent
  18. The lock on the RC is only visible on pulling the door handle, it hides behind the handle
