  2. I had the same problem on my 2011 Toyota Auris. It was caused by a poor connection in the under-seat plug & socket. This is a not uncommon fault as the under-seat cables get moved whenever you adjust the seat. Before doing anything more complex as Chris suggests try a quick & simple remedy. After waiting 2 minutes after having the car powered down, disconnect the under-seat connector & spray it with WD-40 Contact Cleaner (not the ordinary WD-40). If you are uncertain if the fault relates to the driver's or passenger's seat do both. This permanently solved my problem & hopefully will do the same for you.
  3. …..late last night, of course I was crashed out 😴, I received a Message of Interest in my Lexus LS 400, which you may all now know is, For Sale ! 🙄 no name’s - no pack drill ! 🙄 General Data Protection Act applie’s and I have previously signed the Official Secret’s Act ! 🙄 shock ! horror ! probe !………watch this space…….
  4. Adam. If you are still breaking this car, I would be interested in the drivers door threshold, mine has a nasty discolouration in the Lexus logo/light. The front orange reflectors, at low level on each corner. Also the 2 triangular swing out parcel shelf corners please. pics and prices if possible. Thanks

  6. Possibly a strong "trade" style TFR was used, and either applied dry (a no-no), or left to dwell too long before being rinsed off.
  7. Does the throttle controller have a mode that acts as an immobiliser? My Sprintboosters don't but I seem to remember at least one of the controllers have the feature.
  8. If that’s the American ones it will be because the reflectors are red at the back and amber on the front. The dimensions however are the same. When I bought mine I asked the seller to supply 4 amber ones with clear lens so if I ever wanted to wire the up they would be all amber as we use as standard in the UK. I also sourced the bulb holders and connectors to facilitate. All the new clear LED ones are made in china. I have purchased somethings from the US at higher cost and then found out that they are made in China. So it is cheaper and greener to buy things direct from China.
  9. That sounds like an Ultimate Edition Convertible. If it's UE, it should be 1 of 7 in the UK.
  10. Yesterday I managed to get 43.6 miles of EV driving albeit with 100% charge the car was showing 49.7 miles range as I left…. but then I used the heater, the heated steering wheel and the wipers so all in all pretty good. With the slightly warmer weather my EV economy has improved from 2.6 to 2.7 miles per kWh having now covered 6,200 miles in total.
  11. The UX can be bumpy on bad roads like we have near Gatwick /Crawley, but I have yet to find ANY car that was better on our roads
  12. I have problem with the app showing status unknown. Anyone has this problem?
  13. Not sure about the 2019. I have a 2014 exec 6 speaker system and its just ok. The best sound quality i have found is achieved using Bluetooth and it also lets you change tracks etc using the steering controls. For some reason aux quality isnt as good and also you can't use the steering controls. I don't know about USB on a 2019 but on a 2014 usb is only for flash drives as far as i know.
  14. There’s other Bettys Cafes too, not just Harrogate and the art to not Qing is to go when it’s quiet in the day ! Malc
  15. Before I replaced the passenger side mirror I must have shorted something because I was trying to tuck the electric wires from the door mirror inwards. Radio and climate control and door mirror control functions are not working. The climate control backlight is on with a solid line at the bottom. The hot air seems to coming out but can't control it from buttons nor can I see anything. Radio and clock is off. Replaced passenger side door mirror. The puddle light comes on as per normal when you go near the car or car is unlocked. Tried replacing radio1 + radio2 fuse nothing. Radio 3 looked blown to me but replaced that as well still nothing. I am not sure which fuse is for the mirror control? Anyone have any clues?
  16. My insurance renewal is at the end of the month. The notice came through today and was a pleasant surprise from Chris Knott who @RONNIE W HODGEKINSONrecommended on this forum last year… …my premium has gone down! Yes, you read that right…£55 cheaper than last year at £636 fully comprehensive and with business use included. Yes, in 2021 when I bought the RX my premium with MoreThan was £350, but even so…I’ll take that as a huge win (but will still try comparison sites to see if there are better deals, but I doubt it!). I was braced for a four figure number, and I don’t mean £99.99! 😁
  17. I have managed to resurrect my original unit. I would happily take a look at your unit. Maybe even purchase for spares if you are thinking of replacing it? I’m driving up to Edinburgh next month.
  18. I noticed too, no it wasn't me. Hopefully the buyer joins up here to show it off, I'd be really interested to see how it holds up.
  19. There is no mention of this in my owners manual? On page 165 or anywhere else?? But on page 382 is states, "Towing capacity with brake 1500kg without 560kg." It also says 1500 on the log book?? Witter makes a tow bar for the IS250 2007. Guy coming on the 15th to supply and fit, inc electrics foe £460. All I will be towing is a small camping trailer so it should be fine??
  20. This is how CVTs behave and I agree, it could be appear a bit counter-intuitive if you haven't driven CVTs before. Unlike torque converters, CVTs don't have gears, so in essence, the transmission constantly adapts to set-speed (cruise control) and road gradients and it does this by varying the engine RPM for optimal performance. This is why you'll find the RPM go down sometimes as you're speeding up. Weird I know but that's the CVT.
  21. Toyota’s are getting better. But Lexus will get better too 💫 quality and reliability wise, aren’t they identical? It’s more superficial pleasantness in a Lexus: nicer looks, nicer cabin, better materials, sound deadening, smoothness etc? All the ‘nice to haves’ Personally I’m mad we aren’t getting that new Prius 🙃
  22. Wink wink, nudge nudge, we won't tell where your wife rides ! It's the boot lid (cough).
  23. I've just raised a “complaint” with LV asking what the delay is in insuring the LBX and when it will be added to their list. Will keep you updated with outcome.
  24. The rear window stays surprisingly clean in my opinion. Way cleaner than on a hatchback. The bumper, number plate area and rear-facing part of the bootlid are always the dirtiest parts on my car. There's nothing on the mirrors as far as I know, but the front windows do have a water-repellent coating. You could apply a glass sealant/coating to the mirrors and thd rest of the glass yourself. There's many available, but one of the best and easiest to apply (Soft99 Glaco) can be bought in Euro Car Parts.
  25. I owned this many years ago. Bought it with buggered front air suspension and swapped the front struts with some from a MA70 Supra - I miss this car
