I've just bought my first Lexus, so thought I'd join the club. I've picked up a mint, low mileage (48k with full Lexus history) GS300 Sport Series 1 and wanted to know tips on how to keep it immaculate. It's in Riviera White with the two-tone grey. Some older chap has had it sat in his garage for the last ten years and done 4,000 miles in it. There is not a single parking ding anywhere! I feel incredibly lucky to have found it.

Sorry, it seems the photos have been chopped in half for some reason. Not sure why it has missed off the right-hand side on them all when uploading.

Ignore my last - I've just realised you need to click on each photo for them to open properly. D'oh! I'll get used to it.

Welcome to the club Mark. What a brilliant find eh! I'm sure that you will get great pleasure from it.

If the car has been sat around for as long as you say, it might just be worth a trip to a quality tyre supplier to have them checked over. They might look great from a quick glance and, although the tread might look good, they do tend to perish/deteriorate when garaged/stood idle for a long time. Better to be safe than sorry and to have a blow-out when you're seeing 'what she can do'

Enjoy the car and the LOC.

Hey, thanks a lot chaps, appreciate all the comments and the warm welcome! You lot seem a friendly bunch!

Thanks for the advice on tyres, Geoff, very good point. It's got MOT until next May and had two new front tyres to get through that. The rears are looking slightly cracked on the sidewall so I think I will invest, just to be on the safe side. It's got the 10'' rears so the 275s will be expensive. Worth it though for those wheels, eh?!

It hasn't had much use yet as I'm still using my MG ZT until it's sold. Can't wait for the GS to be the daily driver. It drives perfectly.

Cheers chaps and happy motoring!
