Mischief Night

So last night was mischief night or missie night as we scousers call it, did anyone have anything particulary bad done to them? I had 1 window egged on the house and thankfully the car escaped unscathed, did see on the news some poor sod in Widnes had his car overturned, that just goes beyond mischief and smashes into criminal damage IMHO, harmless fun I think not.

My daughter got egged from a passing car..... "trick or treat!", if i catch them it'll be "trick and stitch".

Yeh i know just how you feel mate, i can take a joke but that to me just goes to far

Indeed...... we where all teenagers once but this behaviour is against children not a fight with some geezer down the pub, it's not funny!!

That is really sick, what a :tsktsk: t**t - I really wish you had caught him as he needs to learn a lesson or two

Was she hurt? I really hope she wasn't, but that could have been so dangerous with egg shell in the eye or anything, man that has made me absolutely furious about this stupid night..........

Thankfully it's usually pretty civilised around here (touchwood!), all we had were a few groups of polite young children all being escorted by their parents :)

There was a time when Halloween was just young kids trick or treating with parents and the worst trick you'd expect is a water pistol or something.

Nowadays it's youths and a trick could involve eggs, car scratching, fire, paint or god only knows what. It's not the same anymore and people are just frightened.

Aztec, I'm with you man, my usual carm and gentlemanly demeanour may have turned somewhat murderous if I'd have been you. Little :tsktsk:

i had some little chav hurl a box of eggs towards me last night they missed me but the security at the party didnt miss them................

i was at a mates haloween party and pay back was some pre prepared water and flour bombs u know the ones water bomb inside a baloon with flour they didnt come back lol

im not up for this type of thing however three years running the decorations out the front of the house have been vandalised on the night one year set on fire so this year the party organiser didnt take no prisoners

Sorry to hear about your daugter Chris the whole thing is totally out of hand and seems to be getting worse it's gone from throwing eggs and flour at a few windows/cars to whats basically GBH, the little f :tsktsk: ers should be strung up.

Thanks for the comments guys, she was ok just very upset and lucky it never hit in the eyes :o

Devils Night as it was originaly known as, has been going since before WW2 but over the years its got worse with arson attacks people being burned alive etc, was even used in Detroit as a way of getting the insurance money when people couldnt sell there homes and would blame the Vandles for there property being burned down?

I've read a lot about this over the years and it also appeared in the film "THE CROW" with Brandon Lee and was always on the 30th October :)

Bit of useless info for you about it
