I bet you could count the cars of a same age with less exposure to the elements on one hand. owners probly got the car and then got sent down for a ten stretch!

Great thing with Chris's car is that NOBODY would dare say it had been neglected!

You would think Lexus would start to use a decent supplier for it's wheels or at least get them to put a proper coating of lacqure on them. They have only had the problem on the IS for 4 years and on most Toyotas for the last 10 years!

My standard wheels are starting to bister and corrode

:lol::lol::lol: O I did laugh, only having wheel problem after 6 months, you should own mine,

needs new paint job on the front end (Paint chipping) the paint is that bad you only have to look at and it chips.

New Clutch (Dragging) Crap gear change 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd Lexus Technical response after driving my car. I say gearbox he says clutch (we'll see who is right)

New rear windscreen outter seal (distorted caused by sun load)

New seals on rear boot spoiler (not fitted correctly)

New Sport decals in rear quarter windows (Melted caused by sun load).

Nearly forgot 18 alloys Not the best finish in world, No corrosion Yet,

All this after 5 months and 4000 miles

This car is nearly as bad as the New Escort brought in 95.

I had problems with the 18's on the Sport / Styling Kit. There was like a grit under the lacquer finish on two of them. Also there is no lacquer on the rear part of the wheel, it's just paint so very susesptible to dirt and staining from the rust running off the discs evrn when supaguarded :(

When I was in the dealer's workshop the other day I was left alone for a few minutes, so had a poke about, as you do. In a corner there were boxes floor to ceiling, all just delivered (cos I read the delivery notes), each containing a refurbed alloy. Rough estimate there must have been about 100.

Toyed with the idea of shoplifting, but then realised I had the choice of getting one in my pocket, which seemed unlikely as I didn't have my clown's jacket on at the time, or using the favourite method of Colditz prisoners, which seemed i) excessively painful and ii) likely to draw attention to the belt area if I wasn't quick enough.
