You need to go with the medical expert view on this. I will tell you my thoughts. I think your medication is probably the same I got, Nitrate. It dilates your blood vessels so you have that little bit more room in there to let that bit more blood to your heart and thats why you feel better ,because you are getting more oxygen from your increased blood supply. The only reason that would stop working is not that it would stop dilating your blood vessels it would be that your blood vessels actually got that bit more blocked thereby reducing the effect of the Nitrate. However, the latter blockage did not occur overnight. It's been a multi year issue hence following that logic, any further meaningful blockage is hardly likely to occur in a matter of a few months. You see where this is going? Against that is one other factor which may be significant and I cannot comment on it. You have already had a heart attack and frankly I don't know what damage was done by that ,but it may be enough to want your Consultant to take no chances and get you done sooner than later. I reiterate your legs and your stamina will recover more quickly than your upperbody. Can you have the boating holiday without doing the heavy lifting bit. You could take the wheel for example, but running up sails etc I think that's a shout too far, because even if you do it I bet you will feel some discomfort from doing it. It is either severely discharged or faulty - you should expect to see between 12.6 - 12.8 v when fully charged. I'd certainly expect it to read higher after 80 mins of charging, but that might not be enough to fully charge it, depending on how flat it started out at. I assume you don't have a battery charger to fully charge it up? If not you don't actually need to drive the vehicle, you can just leave it in 'Ready' mode for it to charge the battery - turn off the heating system so the petrol engine doesn't fire up all the time to keep the cabin warm.

Second hand prices going downhill rapidly. It's not looking good for them (including Lexus offerings - particularly the blighted RZ ) but might mean some bargains for us. On Thursday, Volvo said it would no longer provide financial support to Polestar and would look at offloading some of its 48pc stake in the company to other shareholders, including China’s Geely. (Most of the rest of Polestar is already owned by Geely chairman Eric Li.) The news is the latest blow to Polestar, an early mover in electric cars that has struggled to keep up with premium rivals such as Tesla and which remains heavily loss-making despite its cars receiving critical acclaim. I thought I'd share my experiences having picked up my NX450h+ a couple of days ago. I'm the second owner, the first being a different Lexus dealership who pre-registered the car in late September 2023, so 4 months ago. 35 miles on the clock when I collected it. No second key fob, just the manual key. Their description of when I'd get the 2nd key fob was completely in line with the latest news on this forum. I was also told the "priority order" is based on chassis number, so mine should be coming soon despite only just buying the car. I was also told they will use my address for the letter as the registered owner of the car. I asked about locking wheel nuts/bolts. They hadn't thought of this, but having checked there were none in the car, he said they had been sent a few sets, so it was also supplied and fitted while I was doing all the paperwork. Impressive. The car came with a paper copy of the manual. My fuel flap is sticky. As a result they've ordered a new one and it will be fitted for me in a week or so while I wait So - all in all a good experience so far, and I really like the car.

it's totally your choice BUT if you don't have one the RAC / AA whatever can't get you mobile again ...... they have all the necessary jacks etc so you don't need those . provided you have BreakDown Cover ok I can guaranteee that if you get a busted tyre . a pothole, on a Sunday night, Bank Holiday, 2am in the morning you WILL thank me for urging you to have that spare wheel It's so amazingly inconvenient if you don't have one ! I think the 12 weeks you will be ok. Don't rush anything take every day in its stride. I cant emphasize enough time take your time. Don't be afraid to let others do things. Careful with lifting IE let others bring shopping bags from car. You wont be able to drive for 6weeks i think it was when i had mine. You will get stronger i promise but it takes time. Get enrolled in the cardiac rehabilitation class that helps. One milestone i remember is getting my surgical stockings off i had on both legs. They will harvest the veins from your legs if your lucky they might take one from the chest they are better and have less chance of clogging up again. You will gradually build up the distance you can walk each week going further. You'll be ok just don't rush and take your time.

I would be very skeptical if it works for anything other than a very minor slow puncture regardless of the expiry date, just make sure you have breakdown cover in place.

There is enough surviving paperwork to make me believe it was looked after. The owner ran a successful business, but he did use the car to commute to work down narrow Kent country roads. Him and his wife were in their mid 70's and there is the odd scuff as testament. Owner agreed to have a Lexus Canterbury service before I bought it for some peace of mind, and a near 12 month MOT. He still did not stamp the book! ( I have the paperwork) However, I decided slightly scuffed 2008 trumped a shiny on top 2003 model. Pics from Facebook advert. He wanted £10,000 which I thought was reasonable for a late model. Managed to whittle him down to £8750 knowing there was stuff to do to improve the car over time. No rush as those things are all cosmetic.

Hello, Excited about my new toy. I have had a number of mobile and folding phones over the years. But the arrival of the Honor Magic V2 folding phone got me very excited. Why? It's the future (along with garlic bread as our friend Peter Kay would say). So I have been into gadgets for many mnay years.. Walkmans hifi, laptops etc etc, This phone is light, mega thin and great specc, but surprisingly the battery is big at 5000mah and made from new stuff, silicon carbon! The bad bit is the cost at £1700, even with early bird deals still looking at £1200, so hardly a bargain! For some it maybe worth buying in 6 months time when it will be worth £500? I have a few phones at the moment which I rotate round including a Samsung galaxy fold (the brick). I can assure you, I will not be doing that now and will use this everywhere including in the car. Also interestingly this could be the battery technology for cars in the future?

Errr, interesting. Mine came with the 2 cables and screwdriver but no European Safety Kit. I did get a bag but it's not big enough or the right shape for cables so I've never been sure about its intended purpose. Although the cables do fit under the boot floor, I have given up putting them there as it's too awkward to get them out every day or so.

I checked on Toyodiy for the part number for the 1993-1994 model year but did also notice that Amayama listed this as a 1990-1992 part. AFAIK the rear glass would be the same as the main changes from the series 1 and II were front brakes going to 2 pot, bigger wheels from 15” to 16” and various other mainly cosmetic changes. That said obviously you need to be sure the rear screen is correct so I will look into this further for you.

It is personal choice here, but it could be life and death choice in china. I also know that some chinese who have left china had been harassed based on information china was able to collect on them abroad, in fact I know one person myself who had bought iphone in china (they have segregated icloud etc.) and they were still harassed based on information crapple shared with china. Only once they got iphone in UK they managed to lose the tail (still weird choice to go back to the company that sold you out). For google I just create account for each new device and only use that account with that device. I mean I am sure google can still figure out based on IPs and what not that it is same user using multiple accounts, but at least from targeted marketing algorithm it seems to work. Still (this may be paranoia) but if you speak out loud about your holiday plans in the room, few hours later you get adverts for package holiday to the destination you discussed... well it is still better than be re-educated in one of the china's camps. Ironically - you can hide from targeted advertising by using chinese phones, because their google services do not connect to main google servers, or at least it is not so obvious. So in some sense if CCP can't reach you and hurt you, then as foreign national you may get more privacy using chinese phones. As for crapple - I can just confirm they are horrible, from developer perspective they are horrible to deal with, from user perspective they are horrible to deal with, they basically IDs you personally, because you must give them your credit card details to download even free apps... so you can't be semi-anonymous with them like you can on android and their control freaks as well.

The Magic V2 will get 4 years Google updates and 5 year Magic OS software updates. nI the UK your info is shared with people you know and people you do not! I was into Apple right from the start, pdas and Psion before . I found out that Apple was using my data without my consent, switched over to Android and at least Google told me they were using my data. In terms of not trusting Chinese, that is something that our media and government have decided to blow out of propertion, it is a personal choice.

That's impressive fuel economy Vlad. I have a 2012 and 30 is doing OK.

I am told at every service that mine has expired, I think they last 5 years. I bought a space saver from Lexus quite a few years ago and carry it in a tyre cover in the boot. It does take up space but I still have room for golf clubs and electric trolley so I am happy with that.

Need to correct that one Malc, you can do something about it !. Besides the lifestyle stuff you can be aware of what to look for with heart related issues. There are usually early warnings, shortness of breath, tightness in the chest, sharp pains in the upper left arm. If you are aware of these get a check up straightaway, because if it really is the time when DNA is ready to throw you the curveball then at least we have a level of medical science that can shove it back under a rock for quite a long time. Really we are the first generation to have been given that gift as many of the age related and DNA origined ailments have been only been addressed within our lifetime. Talk about a lucky generation !

Steaming it will loosen the glue holding the fabric to the foam, so don't do that. Also don't get it too wet as that can also cause problems. On the two I have previously done I just used a fabric or carpet cleaner applied to a cloth and then rubbed gently to clean any stains. For the smell, probably a solution of baking soda and white vinegar sprayed on a cloth and rubbed into the headliner will fix that. Febreeze might also work, or a can of Odor-X fogger if it's more general smells.

Through circumstance I'm in a similar situation, using a Fold 4 and Honor Magic Pro 5. Samsung blows Honor out of the water on the software and stability front, however the Honor has a genuine all-day battery life even when hot-spotting to the iPad and doing GPS tracking. The V2 is too expensive and doesn't move the game on from the Fold....... I left the Apple walled garden after moving away from the iPhone 5S to a Galaxy S7. However my iPad pro has been really impressive interms of functionality and am now saving up for V2.0 of this.......

I still have the receipt for the service on my 911 back in 2018, to be fair it was a major service! At least the warranty it was under saved me the £10k plus it needed on a new PDK box, on a car that was 6 years old with a full PSH and only 35k miles on the clock.

Definitely recall, I said same thing elsewhere - right thing to do would be to recall every car, but it seems they are not biting that bullet yet. To fix issue properly I assume they need to replace ECU, reprogram it at very least, although I assume if it wasn't designed for encryption it is fundamental enough to warrant replacement. That is a lot of money. Other thing which may happen (and has happened), they may do it for US and leave UK to suffer, UK just isn't their key market and honestly they don't care what happens here in grand scheme of things, they have showed it times and times again over the years. The other problem - this is not considered safety issue so DVLA does not give a flying f... I still think this is consumer protection problem. This isn't individual car, or small number of affected cars... this is issue with ALL the cars for like 5 years period (actually it is broader than I thought, before Colin listed all affected cars, perhaps only saving grace - not all cars are attractive for thieves). On top of that - let's just face it, it didn't come from nowhere, Lexus already had security vulnerability with keyless entry, so they are not Tesla that is coming from nowhere and who didn't know what the "real life" looks like, they knew any vulnerability will be exploited by thieves, they not small company either (Toyota certainly isn't and this is system comes from Toyota, RAV4 is widely known to be one of the most affected cars due to easy access of wiring). So it is absolutelly inexcusable they that they have not considered every aspect of the system. Like engine start and immobilisers has to be isolated from the rest and it should be buried under panels etc. This isn't even new concept - if you tried accessing immobiliser even on old Lexus/ Toyota you would know that is 2 hours job with dash out and then you need to program them once done, which is another 30 minutes. It is just unthinkable that they left CANBUS totally open and you can just plug into it and do whatever you like.

I get what you saying, but also - Lexus response was absolutelly unacceptable. As far as I know they haven't even admitted there is any fault. So sort of - "ok we learned a lesson at your expense, we promise to be better in future". And to be fair I don't blame Lexus too much, I think this should be some government body to chip in, like diesel gate. I don't know - some sort of consumer protection agency i.e. car brand left an major vulnerability, as result cars lost value, so they either compensate for that, take cars back or they fix it. When buying new NX I am pretty sure it does not say in sales brochure that your car comes equipped with major flaw which means any teenager can connect to your CANBUS under the bumper and override it in seconds. I guess sadly it is sort of grey area - everyone understand this is not how it suppose to be, but there is no specific law to say what to do and what are the rights of the parties involved, so this perhaps should be deal with class-action lawsuit type of deal, but in UK we don't have such legal mechanism. Also, I guess Lexus defence could be - "it is not our fault that UK has absolutelly shocking criminal situation and abysmal police support, cars are fine unless somebody maliciously attacks them". And that would be very true - in UK car crime is basically decriminalised, car thief has more protections than motorists just driving on the road, the way laws a laid out car thieve looks like some sort of vulnerable group. In the end of the day, flawed security design on Lexus side and total ignorance from police side leads into situation we have now - where you can't have a nice car because it will get stolen. And that is not only Lexus, I am sure we all seen how Bentleys, Ferraris and McLarens are being car jacked in the middle of the day in the centre of London. And as far as I know they don't have CANBUS issue, point is - police allows for thieves to get away, owners have no way of defending themselves either (no guns allowed), so thieves are getting more and more brazen with their craft in such power vacuum. Ohhh... and finally insurer, they are there just to drain last ounce of blood... few cars got stolen, say £2million write-off for them... so now they going to jack the prices for 10s of thousands of owners, and make 100s of millions out of it. Just nice excuse for profiteering.

I'd recommend you never just use Accessory mode when sitting in the vehicle, always put it in Ready mode and let the petrol engine cut in/out as needed. That way the hybrid system is providing the power to the vehicle and charging the 12v battery.

While you are here Neil. Meister coilovers seem to actually be a cheaper alternative to replacing all four corners with new Lexus shocks and springs. Might as well replace the 16 year old springs if I am doing the shocks. Do you need to cut little holes in the carpet for the rear ones? If so how do you pinpoint where to cut the hole?

I found out on YouTube and it was actually a Toyota. Then research led to Lexus vehicles being affected and finally the availability of plates on this forum and got one by emailing Lexus directly. What you're suggesting is that owners should just buy any car without doing prior research which probably happens a lot but then we also have people who still have cheap barrel locks on their house which snaps with a pair of plyers

rayaans- Where did you learn of CanBus thefts and Lexus providing the plates ? Why would a normal owner of a Lexus be aware of a post manufacture fitting of a security measure, other than by a recall. Keyless thefts have been all over the media for years and manufacturers have changed key devices etc as did Lexus. It’s because Keyless became more secure the thieves found and exploited the CanBus vulnerability. Newspapers and other media explained how keyless theft works and how to overcome it. In all the articles I have read about Lexus having the 2nd highest theft rate, none of them mentioned CanBus attacks so normal owners assume it is Keyless. Other than on these type of forums / websites no media has broadcast or informed about CanBus thefts. Lexus aren’t going to, as that just attracts even more thefts. I think it is wrong to suggest that the owner is in any way responsible for a theft because they didn’t have a little known post manufacturing device fitted - that is a small step away from saying insurers shouldn’t pay out if an owner hasn’t taken every single measure to prevent a theft.

Also I have a man in front with a red flag.
