  1. Yes a higher voltage rating is fine. The surface mount cap should either have a + or a line on it to indicate the +ve end and there may also be an indication on the PCB next to it. Otherwise you could use a meter and find out which end is connected to ground. You don't want to connect them the wrong way around!
  2. Have a look here: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/knowledge...ex_v2&id=16&c=3
  3. Had a look on the Lexus site. The cheapest MKIV is nearly £14k. Parkers prices are always under what Lexus dealers put their cars up for.
  4. I would use 16v+ for the 47uF .
  5. A normal link should also work but would depend on the browser of the user to load and display
  6. You should get 200k miles at least out of the exhaust unless you damage it. The joints will be the first to go although they always look worse than they are. If you ask some dealers they have never replaced an exhaust on any Lexus model unless they have been damaged by speed bumps etc.
  7. If you don't mind an import then there are a few Celsiors about. Air suspension can be a problem on those and as it wasn't an option on the UK LS400 cars dealers cannot always easily fix the problems.
  8. Toyo Proxes T1-S are excellent tyres and quite cheap. They do wear quickly but that is the price you pay for excellent performance.
  9. I would have thought a piece of steel tubing would only be worth £15. ;)
  10. That would be nice. A bit more complex than it first appears as the last thing they want is people hacking their systems or spreading viruses etc. Still it might be a way of getting a latest copy of the EPC
  11. Yes if you have full no claims then esure are good. Unless you want to put a single mod on the car.
  12. I got two sets of 4 from this guy: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33693
  13. I guess it depends on your driving style and type of driving you do. Remember the fronts do the steering and most of the braking. The standard negative camber will wear the inside slightly more than the outside although it shouldn't be very much. Worth getting a full wheel alignment done. Yes
  14. Either let it dry, wipe off and re-apply or wash with car shampoo, dry and re-apply. With the weather we have been having at the moment you may want to park in a multi-story and do it there B)
  15. Is it a new car? All new models now come as standard with mats.
  16. The paint is a problem. Other manufacturers are using water based paints now and don't have this problem. The clear coat on top is normally still oil based and should provide the protection.
  17. Yes but by default the EDFC only has 16 settings. You need to put it into 32 mode by holding down a couple of buttons - although I doubt you could feel the difference between two half steps anyway.
  18. I guess it must be the RX advert. It's had more airtime again in the last few weeks. I wonder if Lexus think all RX300 owners live in a house like that? :)
  19. I'm waiting for a post now saying I only have 16 setting options not 32 ;)
  20. Is there any point in having the mats then? You could just put the transparent plastic mats directly on the carpet. :P I would go with the black mats. The cream ones would look best for the first couple of days, after that you will be cleaning them all the time.
  21. The grill is providing air flow to the radiator so you cannot block it up. Maybe you could use some sort of angled slats that will still allow the air but you cannot look directly through.
  22. It is the caps that cause the problem.
