  1. not too sure about this TRD grille... it looks like a replica grille. The ones I know about have a different TRD logo ... the genuine logo i have seen are smaller and says TRDsport. Especially if ebay seller do not state that these are genuine parts, or show the original boxes, i would assume that the product is a replica one.
  2. The ES and the Windom are basically the same car. I am aware that some RHD countries are now selling the current model as a Lexus ES300, but most of the previous models I have seen are rebadged Toyota Windoms. The easiest way to check if this is a Lexus or Toyota is to look at the steering wheel (airbag) and the stereo installation. The reason why that there are so many used Windoms, is because these can be have very cheaply from Japan, since used cars have a very short economical life in Japan due to legislation. A few things ..... Is this a Lexus or Toyota authorized dealer... do they offer some kind of warranty? Is there a full service history or was it only recently imported? Note, a lot of cheap used Japan imports have water damage. if you want to fix the cruise control ... ask the dealer what the problem is. If they are sure that the ECU is faulty I would be able to source you a RHD Windom ECU for GBP100 - 200. However, I would doubt that it can be solved by replacing a 'faulty' ECU, since then I would guess more functions would not work.
  3. Hey ... This is indeed a friendly forum, but the thing is that the Es300 and Windom are rare cars ... most of us would not just like to reply for the sake of replying, if we are not confident about our advice. Your reply is also of not much use ... for more info on the LHD ES300 you can visit to the us.lexusownersclub.com forum.
  4. Congrats ! make sure that she allows you to keep on modding ...
  5. Looking nice ... Dave... very high quality
  6. Dave is right ... only a full OEM retrofit will have the autoleveling ... and will be very expensive (prob. thousands of pound) ... As a guideline... Typically all the HID kits are priced similar and can be fitted easily. You only need to check what bulb you currently are using. Installation is normally straight forward. Take out your existing halogen bulbs, put the HID ones in, plug the HID ballasts into the original power cables and plug the HID bulbs cable into the ballast. Then try to find a place to secure the balast. Most kits like the H1, H4 low-beam only), H7, 9006, etc kits are priced similarly. Price may vary depending on the color of the light... e.g. 4500K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K. The higher the K the more expensive the kit. In practice, everything over 6000- 6500K is getting blue-ish to purple, and is not really usuable. It is more for show In addition, some H4 users require H4 high and low beam HID kits. These kits are much more expensive, since the bulbs need to be capable of switching between Hi and low.
  7. Big Pete will soon offer his installation service ...
  8. looking good! I bet that you need to hire an assistant to clean those rims.
  9. I save Dave's initial pictures of the Prolex strut brace, and it looks cool. No doubt that it is of very high quality. There are also other excellent strutbraces available from other JDM brands, but normally these are not in stock :( However, I also noticed that a lot of people are impatient and others are not willing to pay the price that goes with the usual quality product . So ... for these people, I found a 'better??' solution Cheap strut braces ... will fit any Lexus or non-Lexus Unfortunately, I already have a strutbrace, so I do not need this one. People who are installing this aluminium strut brace... pls post pics
  10. Errr... best guess would be to try the savage yards... I doubt if people would just lend you theirs, unless they have upgraded their own ones...
  11. there are several clear side repeaters available... original Toyota or Tom's. No sure how much the Toyota ones are, but the Tom's come with bulbs and are approx. GBP35 incl. shipping.

  13. Use her car to experiment with some parts .... a new bodykit, rims, ... :)
  14. What year is your LS400? Leather color? Probably I can get you an used steering wheel or redo yours ...
  15. Happy birthday Steve.... Hope that you will have a lovely Chinese dinner tonite
  16. Fargo is probably the only other IS300 guy that is really into modding his car.
  17. For instance this .... Zee ... no... ZEES :winky:
  18. I am aware that there are several Japanese companies offering a twin zorst
  19. I would rather go for after market wheels, which are probably even cheaper. Just my humble opinion.
  20. You can also go for replica TRD side skirts. Some companies sell very high quality ones
  21. You need to determine what your real needs are ... do you want a light one, or a fullyloaded notebook? Some keypoints: - Get at least 256M or better 512M and get at least 30Gb - Be careful what battery you get with the notebook. Some of the vendors only enclose a low-capacity battery, and you need to pay additional for a high-cap battery. - Try to buy a notebook that has 3 years warranty. In terms of brands, any of the IBM, Toshiba, Dell notebooks are very reliable. I used to have a HP/Compaq notebook, but was disappointed with its reliability and its design was not userfriendly enough.
  22. The carbon fiber hoods are reasonably priced, depending on shape and quality, expect a price between GBP500 - 700 each ex. customs and VAT. However, shipping could just kill your interest... Since these hoods are so huge, you need a forwarder/shipping company, and then you need to pay at least GBP300 - 400 for shipping...
  23. Was the iPaq ok before you tried the upgrade? Do a hardreset, this usually requires you to push a certain combination of buttons. If you do not know how to do a hardreset, try to download the manual from the HP website.
