  1. Set up a search on eBay to notify you if one appears for sale. I used this facility all the time in my previous life, got quite a few direct hits.
  2. Sorry, don't understand most of that, as for buckles failing, they're designed not to fail.
  3. I have two for my car for the grandkids, 1 and 6, I've never ever used isofix. We've just bought an Isofix one for the impending newborn. You don't have to fit the isofix part of the seat, just strap the main part of the seat to your seat belt system. Cheap as chips at Asda or Tesco.
  4. The outside vent below the windscreen, not inside, underneath the passenger windscreen wiper, this is the intake for air getting into the car. I've never come across an issue with all the cars I've used this method on. The cheap stuff I buy is only a copy of Febreze thats advertised on telly, you can spray it on just about anything, ****read the instructions**** My car belonged to a cigar smoker, I used several bottles to clean the inside of the car, wiped everything that stood still. Took a few weeks but that, and some poundland odour eliminators in the central cup holder sorted it out.
  5. The law states you have to have insurance or surety. If you've got a few bob you can go the surety route.
  6. Use the following line in your google search engine, this will search LOC for what you want. It works with other sites. site:lexusownersclub.co.uk your search criteria i.e. site:lexusownersclub.co.uk key fob
  7. That ^^^^. 4 year bank loans, shop around. Expensive keeping up with the Joneses.
  8. It's a porous filter that will absorb the spray. The drawing in of the outside air will therefore release the mist from the filter into the system. If you deem the filter to be an obstacle, take it out. ;) I've used this method on all my cars.
  9. Spray it into the outside vent with the car switch on outside circulation and on its coldest setting.
  10. Doesn't the key have to be in the proximity? as per the above caricature.
  11. "Scratch" I believe is the widely accepted spelling. Depends on the severity of the damage. If it doesn't come out with T cut you may need to get a quote from one of those chips away type companies. Some of the other members who are into detailing may offer better advice.
  12. After explaining the above scenario what do you think is more likely?
  13. Stupid boy Pike. It points you in the direction of the fault. If it works it means the belt is either loose or faulty and needs replacement.
  14. As others have said, get a Tom Tom or Garmin with lifetime map updates, watch for the offers at Halfords, absolute bargain sometimes for less than £100. Bin off the Lexus sat nav.
  15. Spray some soapy water on the belt, if it goes quiet you've found the issue.
  16. It was Autoglass that did my repair, not a very talkative technician, but fine job. I've also stood and watched, with his permission, an AA man fit a new windscreen to my neighbours Golf. Very interesting, he was very good and talked me through the installation.
  17. The last time I had damage like that I contacted my insurance, as mentioned above, asked who they deal with for windscreen, found my nearest one, called in, bloke had a look and filled the hole with gunk. 40 minutes, sign here, job jobbed. But it has to be assessed first, yours looks a borderline, fill with gunk / new screen to me.
