  1. This is interesting as the online history in the app on my car was somewhat sketchy over warranty work performed. My friendly service guy printed me off the cars full history (they had supplied and serviced it from new) and it revealed a water pump replacement (circa £1000 cost) and a fuel pump as a Lexus driven replacement. Be interesting to see if the updated app reveals these.
  2. Pressure washed my block paving. Got some mud splatters on the RX so had to wash it ⛲
  3. Gold membership details on the forum. Check the list of dealers offering discount and check that they will give it to you. Regards Les
  4. Hi Steve, Enjoy exploring here (you will probably have plenty of time). 😎
  5. Yes you definitely had luck on your side. There have been others on these forums who have had mortgage money bills. Suggest you do the lottery on Tuesday 😎😎
  6. 1000 miles or so normally. Having said that Lexus sent me an email saying they were going to be flexible over warranty. Unless you are an emergency worker your car should be doing nearly zero mileage now anyway.
  7. Have you checked all the fuses and relays, likely something has blown somewhere
  8. I get 15% discount at Lexus Cheltenham with gold membership. Perhaps getting gold discount would help. I don't know what the difference is with the essential servicing but can't think it will make much difference to the value of the car as long as the hybrid health check is done.
  9. That's a very good point. I haven't noticed mine humming but it is in the garage with a freezer nearby.
  10. Thank goodness there's a picture, I had visions of a visor over the windscreen similar to 1960s Ford Consuls🤣🤣
  11. I'm sure that I recently read here that you can buy access by time to the official workshop manuals. Suspect this isn't a job for the fainthearted. I know that replacing the trim on the bottom of the grill on my car apparently involved removing the entire front panel. Fortunately it was at the dealers expense 😎
  12. Moved the RX out of the car port onto the drive. Disconnected the Fiat 500 from the Ctek charger, reversed it out of the garage and gave it a tar removal session followed by a coat of Chemical Guys 'Blackllight' nano polish. Job done and everything done in reverse 😎
  13. The difficult part of your guide at the moment is finding a shop selling soap🔜😂
  14. Interestingly I found it extremely difficult to find the correct clips. The dealer replaced a lost one when my last car was serviced and that was a different design to the rest 🤔
  15. I wanted an NX300h but the test drive was so uncomfortable I tried a 2015 RX450h and subsequently bought a 2015 Advance. Great car which I drove for great 30,000 miles before buying my current gen 4.
  16. My neighbour used to work for Indesit. Machines are designed to last 2 years apparently. We now buy more expensive machines that will last. Our dishwasher is a Miele, likewise our washing machine. Our last Miele washing machine failed after about 8 years. They reckon they will do 20,but this is based upon x number of washes per week. I looked into this and our machine had done 40 years worth 😂. Our current Miele washing machine has a 10 years manufacturers warranty and cost about £850. You have to look out for manufacturers using other brand names on products. We have a Miele cooker hood which had several issues. I then learnt it was made for Miele not by them.
  17. I have a very old Ctek which I am currently using on my wife's Fiat 500. Thoroughly recommended.
  18. The thing with windscreens is that Lexus don't fit them. When I had the misfortune to get a cracked windscreen in a 175 mile loan car the Lexus Dealer supplied the screen and sent me to a local fitter. I asked him about realigning and calibration of the cameras and he assured me that this is mainly' smoke and mirrors ' and if fitted correctly by a competent fitter there will not be an issue. Lexus supplied a fitting kit which he didn't use (because he was good) and I got a refund on it. The trim strips are eye wateringly expensive...
  19. When I had a BMW Z3 I managed to find a new genuine cover on Ebay. It was an outdoor version but I mainly used it in my garage. PU coated nylon is probably the best material. Important to ensure its well secured so that it doesn't chafe the paintwork. Try the Classic Car magazines for finding tailor made covers as I doubt Lexus made one.
  20. Think positively. You couldn't drive it even if you had it. It will also be registered later 👍
  21. I seem to remember the answer is no, but I welcome being corrected on this
  22. My wife did the same thing last week with her Fiat 500 while doing the school run 😢
