What is a Chav?

'chav' (slang) - a young person, often without a high level of education, who follows a particular fashion; Chavs usually wear designer labels including the chav favourite 'Burberry', and if they’re girls, very short skirts, large hoop earrings and stilettos.

Chavs see branded baseball caps as a status symbol and wear them at every opportunity. Normally found hanging around shopping centres.

Also known as Townies, Kevs, Hood Rats, Charvers, Steeks, Stigs, Bazzas, Yarcos, Ratboys, Chorer, Skangers, Scutters, Janners, Kappa Slappers, Scallies, Spides and Neds in Scotland.

A chavette is a female chav - Normally seen wearing sportswear, fake designer gear and large hoop earrings.

Yeah these chavvers really p**s me off, I too like designer clothes, and always have done, basically grown up with them since school. Not wanting to sound flash, it's just what I spend me other spare cash on.

Anyway whinge over.... maybe I'll just shop at George instead and buy that M3 I always wanted instead !

The man behind the counter replies "Your timing is amazing. We've just got one in from a very wealthy man who wants a chauffeur/bodyguard for his nymphomaniac twin daughters. You'll have to drive around in a big black Mercedes and wear the uniform provided. The hours are a bit long

but the meals are provided. You also have to escort the young ladies on their overseas holidays. The salary package is £200,000 a year".

The chav says "You're having me on!"

The man behind the counter says "Well you started it!"
