Ever Wished For A Rear Screen Wiper...

After 2 weeks of owning my first IS200 (sport) I have discovered that it is so much easier when a rear window wiper gets rid of the rain so you can see clearly behind... Anyone else wish the IS200 had a rear wiper...

Does anyone use a special liquid, wax etc for rain to run off the window...?

Not had a problem with rain on the rear window.

Once your on the motorway, it justs runs off.

Make sure you polish it, or even better get some Autoglym glass polish.

yeh it is very annoying, with the weather getting colder at night the jew settles on the back window and in and around uni where the car is parked there is LOTS of buliding work going on, thus the dust sticking to the rear window.

i can barely see anything out of it,

I use Rain X or similar and use it on the inside as well, amazing how little condensation you get when its done properly

Make sure that your glass is 100% streak and crappo free before you put it on though or you will seal in the muck and it looks really pretty rainbow colours as the light hits the mucky bits

OH and use it on the door mirrors its brill for them

i find turning on the heat to the rear window solves that . becides u should be using ur mirrors more and the window less

I do wish that the Boffins at lexus did put a rear wiper on the car but find Rain X does the trick.even a small amount of DEW :winky: runs off as soon as the car moves.

lucky if you get above 20mph never mind fast enough for the water to run

I will try Rain X or equivalent... thanks for that advice.

My previous WRX and Golf had rear wipers so I guess I have got used to that... My WRX had darker tints than the IS200 Sport so just getting used to the 'judging distance behind when reversing'...
