Honey I`ve Hit The Pavement !

2 options really

1. try to mask off the surrounding area properly( bit diff i know) and use some clear nail varnish - this way you can build up the laquer layer again to roughly the same level/depth of the original.

2. mask off again and use an aerosol spray laquer - the visual finish wont be the same and it will be uneven match level wise but the alloy will be protected.

make sure you give the area a good clean - dont use wash up liquid on the damaged area as it contains salt and make sure its dry before putting the laquer on - use a hair dryer if u have to.

if you do get it refurbished, make sure that they can give you exactly the same finish!

i went to get one of mine done after i had kerbed it, spoke to the guy he says no prob to refurb it, went to leave but something didnt feel quite right then when pressed he said that he doesnt think they could get the same finish - ie they would just spray the whole thing grey! :tsktsk: :crying:

My wife just banged my alloy for the umpteenth time. She took it to a place in Reading who refurb wheels for Lexus in Reading, who recommended them.

At 80 quid inc VAT for one wheel, it wasn't cheap, but it was an exceptional job.

If anybody wants me to I'll get the details from my other half and post them on the site.

Cheers

Paul

Kind regards
