  1. The red is really nice. Much better than black. Trust me, Ive had both, amongst other colours like grey, beige and cream.
  2. Yep should be covered under the warranty. Just give them a call asap. As its been logged before 12 months finished, it would be covered regardless of whether they managed to look at it in 1 month or 1 week
  3. Both those cars have much harder wearing interiors though. For example the artico Mercedes use on seats is almost indestructible, but of course doesnt feel as nice. The Dakota leather in BMW is processed heavily as well. The materials in the Lexus are softer and therefore more delicate and need regular care.
  4. Unfortunately nothing can be done about wear and tear. Cant comment as our UXe doesnt have that particular gear knob. As for the B pillar trim, it looks like the seatbelt has literally been flung off and therefore hits that side. I always tend to place the seatbelt rather than remove so dont have that issue on ours
  5. Admittedly the figures dont seem massively better than a non hybrid vehicle. For reference, 2014 Merc C200 2.0l remapped to 250hp, 0-60mph in 6 ish seconds and it achieves 41mpg on 20 mile journey at 75mph cruise control. If I put it in eco, dont use cruise control and let it coast down motorway hills it can achieve slightly more.
  6. Detailedonline Natural dressing. Cheap, leaves a nice smell (multiple scents) and goes on everything. Leaves a very natural look compared to those shiny greasy dressings. In terms of leather I used to use dodojuice supernatural leather kit with their sealer. I tried DetailedOnline leather cleaner and its pretty much the same in effectiveness but cheaper. Also used Gyeon Leather coat and must say its my new favourite. Seems to be ceramic based. I first put it on and cried - it left the seats so shiny! But, it needs to cure so wait 24 hours and it goes to matt
  7. Been in contact with RRG bodyshop and sent them photos. Now they just have to provide the estimate to Admiral via email and hopefully itll get approved. Other than that its just a waiting game really.
  8. Noticed it at first on the UXe but you get used to it and wont be able to tell its even there after a few weeks. I genuinely think people are over reacting. You wont hear it over a certain speed anyway as it automatically turns off
  9. So I contacted admiral today as I'd been on holiday for a week in Tunisia and not heard anything back by email or phone Essentially the driver is insured with admiral. But he was driving another car and it was under an axa drive another car policy. They've agreed for me to take my car to my body shop and send them a quote via them so not too bad so far
  10. Depends 2013 - 25mpg in 10 degrees on anything up to 4 mile journeys Longer journeys about 44mpg in winter Summer a lot more but still rubbish on short journeys as would expect
  11. Not really fair though that one. An I4 M50 despite running similar performance in a straight line doesn't drive anywhere near as well as an M4 Its really more of a faster M lite model like a faster version of an m440i
  12. That would be OK i guess although almost nanny-ing. The thing is, there must be a way of overriding it and that would still cause accidents. Dont think it would have worked in my case, the car that wacked the UX is 18 years old lol
  13. I never added a rear view dashcam. I figured it wouldnt be much use to me as if someone hit me from the back itd be quite clear who did what especially when the front dashcam can show the direction of travel lol
  14. I think reliability will play a part but then how much? Even when considering ICE vehicles, there are plenty of German cars on the used market which aren't massively reliable but they still get picked up and regularly so. Build quality still plays a part although some people simply dont care. Look at all the Tesla's around as an example. If Jaguar or Lexus rebadged a Tesla Model 3 and sold it as their own, theyd get slated
  15. I agree So Im hoping things are speedier due to both of us being insured by the same company. I usually take it to the Lexus bodyshop that did the RX and IS twice. The repair was good so I will be using them again. Luckily, despite looking a lot uglier, the car is driveable and nothing has fallen off yet so thats atleast some reassurance.
  16. UXe took a hit from the rear today. Letting a van come through a narrow road and bang, old chap in a Meriva comes around the corner - luckily at not much more than the speed limit Damage done, details exchanged and luckily he's also insured with Admiral so hopefully all goes smoothly. A bit worried about this paint but taking it to Lexus so hopefully can sort it out. Likely will replace the plastic trims and bumper. 20220622103215_0002701_Trim.mp4
  17. I think front bumper, bonnet and A pillars are worthwhile but anything more than that is probably a bit overkill dont you think? The rocker panel might make sense but not just a lone piece as you can see the edges otherwise. Luckily there is a panel line the sideskirts can be done in that one panel.
  18. I think this is probably how most dealerships would have handled it. There is a clear stone chip that has gone down to the metal and this would cause water to get in especially in an area where water would be forced in near the wheels rather than on a door for example. I had a similiar thing with a Jag and the dealership rendered it due to a stone chip as well - which was quite evident to be honest. In the end just had a smart repair to stop it worsening
  19. the 2013 will be fine itll most likely indicate model year which is correct at MY13
  20. You get about 1 mile from the battery itself in EV mode which sounds quite small. However, leave it in normal and the vehicle will use the battery at low speeds and then the engine will kick in at higher speeds, recharge the battery whilst also braking will cause it to regenerate. So it essentially does this over and over again. Lifetime of the battery is difficult to gauge but Ive had Lexus hybrids since 2012 and never had any issues with the 450h. Its a very reliable unit. I sold my 3rd gen RX450h with 55k miles, my current RX has 47k miles on it and the IS300h we had had 18k when sold so I honestly wouldnt worry about the battery. Not sure on the cost but I dont think many have been replaced whatsoever. I think MPG wise im getting about 25mpg in town and can get 35-38mpg on a steady 70mph run
  21. I did a lot of research into it before the UXe arrived. I went for the Zappi V2 in the end due to the raving customer service reviews. I did use the warranty for a faulty solenoid and they came out within 2 days and replaced it. No issues since then and its been used quite well. Luckily it was at a time when the £350 grant was still available to homeowners so it worked out quite well
  22. Where did you get 50% extra range on the RZ from? Its about 25% assuming the RZ will have around 250 miles. Some tesla supercharger stations are open to any vehicle so it depends on where you're going. I would say most motorway charging stations are fine but you do have to wait sometimes as they don't have enough. The best way to do it is to find a random charger somewhere, like a hospital for example.
  23. You need to tap the buttons at the bottom to change it back to the other type
  24. Congratulations - pics please! Why does your air con need a regas? its only 4 years old and probably doesnt. Leave the air con on all the time and dive into the settings to change the flow / eco settings as that makes it blow less air out
