What Do You Do With Your Horn?

Well.... i was at work the other day and someone said that they 'parped' their horn at someone. I then asked 'what the hell does that mean?' this is the word they use when they press there horn around Leicester way.

Now me being a staffordshire lad had never heard that word used at all.....ever!! if i have to press my horn then i would say 'i beeped at him'.

This got me thinking as to what everyone esle uses around the country and also is 'parped' a well used word and is it just me thats never heard it??

Another important thread started by me :whistling:

The horn is for frightening pedestrians who don't hear your engine in carparks or backroads and wander in front of you. A well timed blast works wonders.

i "peeped" the horn for me.

In face i just "peeped" my horn about 15 mins ago at a stupid white van man who pulled out in front of me.

The "peep" was used in conjunction with a number of expletives , something along the line of "you stuipid f*****g w****r" followed by violent fist waving out of the window.

I'm presuming mine works on the 250, but I've yet to use it in 24,000 miles

Ya you're less likely to use your horn when you get old.... :whistling::tomato:

Regret posting now  but I'm saving it for special occasions having worn previous ones out from overuse in numerous locations :whistling:
