Yep they really did look like that but don,t think you will see many on the roads probaly only put 500 on the road as with the rs200 only a few were sold to the public to enable them to be entered into the rallys

If you have never heard of the 6R4 .... shame on you!Call yourself a car enthusiast!!!

Prescription is .... get yourself to Gaydon for the big meet28th March, then go into the Museum and see the firebreather inside. Awesome cars. Although styling wise - the RS200 is just stunning. :P

I had a pooh brown Datsun Cherry 100a in 1980 with a full Janspeed conversion fitted BHP was 85 from 45 looked bog standard from the outside apart from the exhaust pip being a little bigger

I must say that 206's are really starting to pi$$ me off now-a-days! Everyone seems to be buying one, they are so cheap and the garage's are doing stupid deals on financing them, making them really easy to buy! Just a little extra and you get a fairly quick engine in them too!

But my all time hate will always be the Nova....even in my early driving days when I had a Ford Orion....i still hated them! One of my brothers mates has a red 1.6 GSI Nova....he let me have a drive of it the other day....seriously quick!! But it will never change my mind!!

I always loved the Escort RS Turbo! I had one before the Lexus...it was red, totally standard and in mint condition...thats why I liked it so much!

When I get a bit more cash under my belt I'm gonna buy another one a restore it to completely standard show condition!

A guy at my local tuning garage, has put a 3.0l V-Tec Engine in a Mini Cooper and goes rallying with it.. Ain't got a clue how he fitted it in, but he has in it's wide body kit.. he has kicked ***** with this setup..

Many on here modify their Lexus'. Good on you. But you're doing EXACTLY the same thing to your type of car as the max-power boys are doing to their type of car. The only difference is cost basically.......as they say, the older you get, the more expensive your toys get.

The only reason they do it to Novas and Corsas etc ( ) is because it's all they can afford, especially considering insurance for 17-19yr olds.

Once again, don't get me wrong, I positively HATE all these type of modded cars - however, I do think a SLIGHT leniency should be given to them, as it really is the ONLY car-modifying/playing route for young people nowadays.

They modify £10k cars with £3k.......we modify £20k cars with £6k !

(PS.....once again, do read my disclaimer, I do hate these cars.....before I get flamed down !!)

The difference is though, they jump into the Nova's and tear about the highways causing all sorts of grief for other road users and peds, the guys here who mod their car treat other road users and members of the public with respect. I'd be surprised if the guys here speed along a narrow built up street!

Were i live the worst offenders for speeding are the scooby,supras, mr2,s etc and in particuler some twot in a soarer tt ,i live opposite a school on a very straight strecth of road .the corsa brigade are noisy and annoying but because there engines are small they are very slow, it is the second generation modders with there turbos and dump valves in the high performance cars that cause the problem most of them are going through a second youth and reaching speeds of up to 80mph in a 30 mph limit .as tony said they have the money to take there cars to silly bhp and some of them have no respect for the limit at all .
