  1. I have heard it mentioned a lot, but not seen it yet. Thanks for the recommendation :)
  2. and the funny thing is I think the car will be up for sale very shortly................I personally think its one of the nicest examples of a clean mk2 Aristo that I have seen with a folder full of history
  3. Well Done Aido!! Glad you are happy with your beast!! :D
  4. Nokia N95/N96 Powered Car Entertainment System and Sat Nav Used the TV feature of my handset and Garmin Mobile XT to provide Sat Nav. The Sat Nav works well and I can change music tracks too while it is on. Made a very quick Youtube video too: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Interior
  5. A few mod specific pictures :) EDFC Controller Expertly placed after a discussion with Steve from Charlesworth Motors in what I think is the perfect place for it! I have the following settings P1 = Front 14 Rear 14 (Soft) P2 = Front 10 Rear 12 (Medium Hard) p3 = Front 03 Rear 04 (Hard) The Tein suspension totally transforms the beast! Exhaust Sytem T304 Full 3" Stainless Steel system and decat with Dual 4.5" Tailpipes. Sounds wonderful outside the car, yet really quiet inside. Also has some baffles that can be used to quieten it down further so it sounds almost exactly like stock (but I have never felt the need!) You tube Video: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Boost Controller Very good boost controller that holds a strong and constant 1.2bar. Can be hidden by closing the ashtray too :) HKS Camp 2 Full car monitoring system. Looks wonderful on factory screen.
  6. Hi guys, I know that since I have had the Aristo over a year now I haven't really posted much about it. Well I am about to change that. This is how the car looked when I first bought it. Well since I have had it, I have spent an absolute fortune on it! I will break down what has been done: FIX EXISTING FAULTS: Fix Yellowed headlights Replace Tie-Rods Replace rear suspension arms with genuine new parts (cost £1000! :( :o) Replace crap standard brakes BRAKES TRD Basic Big Brake Kit (4-pot Supra calipers) 3G/Brembo 20-R Supra sized Brake Discs all round Hawk 'Brembo Spec' Brake pads imported from the US Custom-made Goodridge Stainless Steel Brake hoses Motul Dot 5.1 Brake Fluid Red paint :P SUSPENSION TRD AntiRoll Bars TOMS ARS Cancellor Bar TOMS 6-links Uprated suspension links Tein Flex Coilovers with car lowered all round. It pulls like an absolute monster now. I would go as far as saying it is scary fast top end. I have done a mod (which I reseached on the US Supra forums) that increases low down power substantially so the car is quick off the line too and then when it reaches higher RPM it just flies! I was with a mate in his Evo 8 FQ400 a few weeks back and off the line you have no chance of beating him, but we tried on a quiet private road with a rolling start from 50mph and his car just could not pull away! The Evo FEELS so much quicker, but the Aristo really now is stupidly quick at motorway speeds - only trouble is you don't realise that you are tearing up the tarmac because it doesn't shout about it!! BALLISTIC CAR! Also because my car has a SMIC in very good condtion, it operates more efficently then a poorly ducted FMIC and my in-take temps are very good. The HKS Camp 2 I decided to use instead of sticking guages etc on the car because the Aristo I don't think looks right with bits stuck all over the dash! I wanted the car to retain a stock like look so the boost controller can be hidden by closing the ash tray and the EDFC is neatly installed and easy to adjust in its location under the drivers vent - it looks like it belongs! The HKS Camp 2 does give the car a skyline GT-R kind of feel to it - its really cool and links direct to the ODB2 port on the car so I can view loads of diagnostic info and also connects to additional HKS sensors I bought to monitor boost, temps etc. I am pleased with the Nokia Powered entertainment system I have installed too - it works well and is so much more reliable then the Car PC I did back in 2005 on my IS200. I do get the occasional alternator whine coming from it sometimes, but nothing that can't be sorted. :) I have done as much of the work myself that I have been able to and learnt a hell of a lot (now an Aristo/Supra boost controller installing expert :P), but special thanks also to Auto-Serve and Charlesworth Motors for all their mechanical work and to Gord, Imran (Vazoosh) and Mitul (skeet94) for all their advice too and help. My car is apparently one of the fastest ones they have worked on at Charlesworth Motors with Simon (who doesn't mince his words!) saying after he last drove it "f**king hell, that things grown a set of b*ll*cks!! f**king quick!" which I think really says it all. Got a lot of pictures to follow and got some youtube vidoes of my car too exhaust and the phone-powered system.
  7. Truely shocking!!! I am gutted for you Tony. :( :crybaby: :crybaby: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk:
  8. Aido, you should have no problems with these fitting at all. I had 19" 10-inch wide rears on my Aristo with an offset of et40, so yours with only a 7.5" wide rim and a et37 offset should fit without issue. However, I'd try and go for a wider rear if I could ;)
  9. Me to :D Every Tom, ***** and Anees has a 3 Series :D Better then being a c*ck in an Audi :P Personally I'd look into the 3 series coupe, in black with red leather or in white with carbon fibre bits... :winky: :winky:
  10. Sure does mate - but I'd much rather have the 4x4 in this weather!
  11. The IS200 has a good 6 speed close ratio manual gearbox, so that would definetly be my choice over the 4-speed auto which is less economical and makes the car even slower.
  12. Sorry but I disagree partially. The IS200 is just crap in the snow. Yes with proper winter tyres it will be much better; having tyres that are in their operating temperature but I must say my BMW is better in the snow then my IS200 was and the Aristo has even suprised me with 10" wide rear tyres!!
  13. When it last snowed up here two weeks ago I lucked out because I had the Audi for a week and Gord was stuck with my RWD Aristo- couldn't have planned it better if I was Michael Fish! To be fair however, because the snow is fresh and has not turned to ice yet I have been fine with the Aristo - just take it easy, be smooth on the steering and so far so good........... Audi 4x4 is for whimps! :P (i say that cause I'm jealous........... :P)
  14. Anees

    Tte Alloys

You wanta get the TTE alloys that Anees has on his mate, wide rear, thay look fantastic on his, and im sure would on yours toooo :winky: I'll get some pictures up. I was planning on putting some pics up of the car this weekend since its come along way, but the weather has not been so good and the snow kinda spoiled my chances of decent pics! My wheels were very hard to get (since they are also discontinued) and are designed to clear big brake callipers too
  15. Oh bloody hell :o Hope he's gonna be ok, he'll be off for a while with that one then - he was only telling me last week how quick he was back after his hernia - he didn't fall down the pit did he or was it a bike accident? He was out walking the dog :D Oh no! :o Poor Simon!! Hope he makes a full recovery! :)
  16. I didn't know the "reasonable cause" bit............. I have for the past three years on and off been trying to find the owner of the plate A17EES and all I have ever found is that according to the MID database it is on a Mitsubishi Shogun. What excuses can you give for "reasonable cause"?
  17. One of my favourite ever TV shows! Can't wait! :D
  18. Don't know who Usman is, but he sounds like someone not to mess with! What a guy! Is he any relation to:
  19. Got to say, I am missing the Turbo kick! Yemgi - personally I think the Aristo as standard is not really a very quick car (well certainly doesn't feel it until you enter illegal speeds). The transition from Turbo 1 to Turbo 2 is almost seamless and it almost feels as if turbo 2 doesn't work. Once you unlock the car with the items Aido mentioned and the car is running 1.2bar the car is MUCH MUCH better and Turbo 2 really kicks in hard :winky: The other good thing I found with the Aristo is if you drive it off boost and tickle it gently you can get pretty good economy out of it. As soon as you start using the turbos however..................... watch the fuel go (well you can map it to make it more economical and produce more power but that needs a piggy back ECU.) I wouldn't call the Aristo a drivers car (which your IS200 is!), but its a very good motorway cruiser / top-end monster ;)
  20. Gord doesn't own a Aristo...... But you never know with his roving eye..............
  21. Well Done mate - looks a nice car! Congratulations! :D :D
  22. Charlesworth Motors is Aristo central at the moment I think. With Aidos beast there, Vazoosh's car should also be there and I'm sure mine will have been in the vacinity at some point this week too :)
