In the not to distant future my car will need its next service, the first of which under my ownership and I was just wondering what car to choose when offered a courtesy car.

I own a IS 200 but fancied a change. :D

the courtesy car you get depends on what cars the dealership uses.

they have to buy the cars to use, and so many simply buy IS200's as they are the cheapest option.

I am pretty sure no dealer buys an SC or LS to let people use when then bring their car in for a couple of hundred pounds worth of service

I really fancy the LS, proper pimp style!! Although the new GS would be nice, but id settle for the RX300......decisions decisions!!

It would however be interesting to see what the ride quality is like on an IS with fewer miles.

I wouldn't mind trying an auto, im a virgin in that sense. Not 100% sure how to drive them to be honest

I'm a total convert to the auto box on the IS300, found the six speed manual on my previous IS200 Sport far too notchy and a real pain driving in town.

For Scooby baiting there's always the option of putting it into manual mode...

I recently drove an automatic for the first time on the BMW track day I went to. It was an X5. Like everyone says I was amazed how easy it was. Plan on getting my mum and dad automatics in the future! My left leg was bored however!

I wouldn't want to drive an auto for long however - I'd probably like it too much!! :o :whistling:

Lexus Edinburgh gave me thier RX300 whilst my car got serviced and one or two bits n pieces resolved. Had it for 5 days and it was nice. Be prepared to go to the fuel pump quite often though

First ime the car was in the dealer for a wheel alignment got an RX300 for the day. No choice was just given it.

It's back in on Monday for 2 alloys to be sorted out and I've got a car booked for me but no idea as to what it's going to be yet. Since it's the managers car I am getting for the day could be almost anything.

my cars in for its 2year service on friday and i get a choice of is200 auto or manual, i dont want to be tempted by getting an is300 or rx300 for the day, ill oly end up buying one if i do.

Do you guys get a choice? I've never had that privilege, guess they don't do it down in London.

I agree, as much as I'd love it, I'd hate it more to be given a brand new IS300 and then have to give it back at the end of the day!
