  1. It's a shame the top mounts are so long but once you get bottom mounts in place then it'll secure it nicely. Adding the pipework will add more bracing, so that cooler isn't going anywhere. Good work.

  2. So my universal intercooler brackets came and its turned out quite well, although i do need a couple more brackets to secure the bottom of the cooler and another for the top to brace it. As you can see on the last 2 pics there is an extra brace to make it a little more sturdy just need another now to attach the other side. Also tried it both ways to see which way i prefer.... im thinking the blank side to make it a little more stealthy. Next up, more chopping of the bumper to accommodate its full height and area for the boost pipes to go.

  3. Fountains Abbey. You need to stay there to be able to access the entire estate out of hours by car hence my car by the church

  5. Was watching Mike Brewer (dull TV choices!) and he drives off in his new purchase, then, gets a FLAT TYRE! Thought; would be ironic if the spare was useless! Got me thinking; how often do we - ever? - check our spare, and/or the wheel nuts? So today, dug out my spare...it was nearly flat! Never used. Inflated it. Then....after locating the tools.....tried to loosen the nuts. Impossible! Have booked in to my friendly (down the hill from me) garage, to get all my nuts loosened. Where the security nut? Do I have spare nuts, as the spare is steel, not alloy, and needs different nuts..... It's not easy! My neighbour pulled in. Had recently had a flat/wheel bend on M5; had great difficulty getting nuts off....... I noticed she's still on the spare though! Maybe I'll look out for a spare alloy....... Drive safely, folks!

  6. As you suspected it does indeed live behind the nearside boot trim, very odd place for heated mirror relay to be located. contact burnt out in relay, had a spare merc relay of equivalent configuration so fitted that for now. Gonna get down to Toyota and obtain the correct one as don’t know if the merc one has same current handling. For anyone else that has similar see attached pictures of the location and what relay looks like.

  7. I have just done this yesterday. Had trouble getting the motor off from the original assembly, but all worked out in the end. The change is unbelievable. As everyone says, I should've done this ages ago.

  8. I'm struggling here slightly. Are you hoping to get this resolved without telling your Insurance company and just dealing with theirs ? That will not happen my friend. The Insurance data base is linked and once you supply your details to their Insurance company your Insurance company will be on your back asking why you have not informed them of an accident. You will find as part of your policy that you're obliged to tell them of any accident / Incident . As suggested tell your Insurance company before they found out and let them deal with it.

  9. I Hate to be a doom monger but whatever you do don't take it to Lexus. A pal of mine with a GS300 did take his car to Lexus with a remote issue like yours, 12 weeks later and £2,500 lighter he got his car back. Lexus stripped it down and then could not get it to start, new CPU's etc etc had to come from Japan. if you can put up with it then do so, otherwise it could cost a Bomb

  10. To be fair I gave up on it in my 2014 CT and haven’t even bothered trying in my 2018 so it might have improved.

  11. i use voice recognition every day for dialing phone numbers and very rarely have an issue with it ...this is in my IS though i wouldn't of thought the model would make any difference as i'm sure the voice recognition is the same across the brand

  12. Is it location dependant? If so it could be radio interference on the 433Mhz frequency the key works on - things like energy monitors, remote garage door openers, weather stations and wireless doorbells also use a similar frequency to the key fob so could be interfering if you've recently installed a new one (or the neighbours)

  15. Small update, my valve covers are finally back! Good things come to those that wait, they have turned out fantastic! The pictures really do not do this colour justice at all especially the far away shot of the bay, the finish is flawless. The work was done by maldon shot blasting and powder coating http://www.ctc-powder-coating.co.uk/ there colour range is outstanding with alot of wild colours. Now i know its looks a bit disjointed at the minute but once its all done it will look great (in my opinion of course 😎) Brake calipers will also be this colour or very similar so it wont be the only orange bit on the car. Roll on black friday for some more parts

  16. You seem to be confusing me with someone who can't drive. :iraqi-info-minister: I've never had TC before, driven lots of RWD cars, and have never ended up in a ditch. My other car doesn't have TC and I manage to handle that in the wet very nicely.
