From the cars my dad owned/restored,i liked the lines of the Cortina MK1 with its bench seat, column change and flared rear wings.

Then there was the Humber Sceptre with the petrol filler cap intergrated in with the rear lights behind the reflactive part (i think).

Then on to the Rover P4,the ones used by the prime minister years ago,was it the P4...........so sssmmmooooooooootttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Then the car he worked on for years, restoring a Ford Pilot V8.

Whats yours

:D :D :D

A big Volvo 164E had an amazing engine sound, very identifiable (like the way Beetles also had their own characteristic sounding engine)...

Also had a cool electronic speedo :) Full leather seats (which burnt my legs when it was hot as a kid!) and it was 3l straight 6 with a 4 speed manual gearbox with overdrive! :)

A 1987 bergundy ford sierra estate......many a night was sat in the back of that beast in the rain, All my mates loved that car mainly because we could get about 8 of us in it, And the reason i loved it cos it was RWD and very very tail happy.

The first car i remmber him having was an automatic fiat multi fiorino i think anothert estate car that i think was made entirely of rust the sunday newspapers and a whole truck load of Chemical metal!!!!

1958 Peugeot 403, like the one inspector Columbo drives in the TV series, only not a convertible. He drove it from 1970 - 1974 and then made a tractor trailer from its axles+wheels. Damn shame, in hindsight.

In 1981 my Dad imported a brand new silver Cobra mustang. Everyone else down our road had pale blue Escorts and Dad had this beast with a big bonnet scoop and wild horses down the side.

It was Totally OTT but I was 8 and he was my hero!
