Set of alloys for Is250/is300h, apparently new and unused, London E3 area
Nothing to do with me, just spotted them. Depending on the reserve, could be a bargain for someone.
Yep, someone's going to end up with a car in fantastic condition - hopefully the new owner will appreciate the care it's had over the years :)
What's replacing it?
Hi Kris
Welcome to the LOC
Yeah that will be a different experience coming from the Nissan
How far did you have to travel to buy the Lexus? I did a 600 mile round trip to collect mine
To stop them going cloudy, you need to protect the headlight from UV
Something like this should do the job

I'm also running 'Three A' front tyres on my IS, still on Dunlops for the rears.
I needed two fronts unexpectedly and just when money was a bit tight and these came recommended by a mate who runs them on his taxi.
They've been on for nearly 3 months now and I have to say I can't fault them, certainly no noisier than the Dunlops they replaced and possibly a bit quieter. Grip seems good, in fact I pushed them a bit today in the pouring rain and they were fine. My only gripe would be that the sidewall profile doesn't give any curbing protection to your alloys.
This relates to the IS250 but the part numbers are probably the same

I travelled from Middlesbrough to Kent to buy my Lexus, did the trip down by bus so only had to drive back. I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh I felt when I got home, not what I was expecting. The wife thought I was bonkers travelling all that way 'just to buy a car' but it was worth the effort. Just over a year now and still loving the driving experience. :)
Nice car and a lovely colour. I expect I would be looking at something very similar when time comes to replace my IS250, but not for a while yet. Enjoy
I have pushed some foam strips in between the dash and windscreen and this has completely cured my dashboard rattle!
The only problem now is that I am now far more aware of the rattles and creakes from the door seals and pillars :(
Nice, looks classy in white
I thought these alloys were called 'Baransu' ? Mine were silver and very corroded when I bought the car but I prefer the dark grey colour I have now which I think suits the car better.
Breakers charge up to £50 for a used caliper where they have little or no idea what operating condition it's in. New, they're around £120ish.
I'd imagine you could sell a refurbed caliper for around £80 so if that makes a profit then it could be worth doing
I am curious to know how much a professional refurb would cost. This place offers three levels of repair/refurb
