Hi Alan, it’s great to meet a fellow spreadsheet guru 😀 and thanks for sharing your insights. I think that you and I are aiming to calculate different outcomes. My approach is to try to calculate/estimate the car’s underlying hybrid mpg once the pure EV range has burnt off. My data since ownership last July now shows a total of 6,200 miles, 364.62 litres (80.2 gallons) and 1,140kWh of electricity. The car is showing a trip of 2.7 miles/kWh thus I have, in theory, covered 3.078 miles from my purchased electricity (2.7 x 1,140). This leaves 3,122 miles (6,200-3,078) covered by 80.2 gallons; giving a hybrid economy of 38.93 mpg As my old maths teacher used to say QED (quite enough data, thank you)…😂

I am confused as to why you are having to enter password details on screen, I did all my registration from the App. From memory, I went to the main screen where it says Lexus and added my profile, I then got the blue screen where I had to agree to terms (right Han one for both) and then it gave me a number to pair to my phone and that was it. This also included setting up Apple CarPlay too. It did take a few days for it all to sync through after picking the car up. I also lost connection twice and was faced with the blue sign on screen. Each time it lost contact I also removed the car from the App as I didn't want to have two cars the same in case that caused confusion. After it losing contact the third time, I left the car in the App hoping it would over-right it and it did. Since then it has been rock steady and all my trips have recorded. Not sure if it was a coincidence, but it worked for me.

Was there any further outcome with this replacement, as I have exactly the same issue?

B4U2 most Honda fans would say 100k miles is barely run in. Since my first car an old school mini, i have exclusively driven Hondas for the last 30 years and they are Bombproof bar rear brake calipers seizing. Like Colin i had a Honda Accord and jumped ship to IS300h when Honda stopped making large saloons. I still currently own a 1998 Honda integra type-R which now currently sits at 208,000 miles and still revs freely to 9000rpm. Cheers, Rob

I know this hike in insurance business is a right p.i.t.a. and like many I've seen a massive % increase year on year. While I too think well that's it I'm off to buy something else, logically unless you're ready to change anyway it's going to cost much more than the difference in insurance premiums to do so. Guess I'll be hanging around for sometime yet then.

If it's a profile screen you need to create a profile on lexus link and then hold the key up to the power button when going through the sync process

It takes ages to register the sensors Scott, I think they’ve exited too quick. I seem to think it says “registration complete” then a few miles.

Has anyone seen / heard of the enhanced security update? It was originally scheduled for End of April. As I posted elsewhere, I emailed late April to Lexus CR and was fobbed off with the date was not known. Dealers would be in touch. Might email them again and copy in bbc watchdog.

Steve, I found this elsewhere on this site. You go to lexus-tech.eu - it is a secure HTTPS website. I have cannot say it is genuine but I think it is - it asks you for codes and in return provides a code to validate the update and an activation code. My dealer is on the case with Lexus and hopefully I can provide more details shortly.

maybe, but I wouldn't use the IS250 to pull a caravan myself, I consider it to be under powered, albeit the paddle shift would help I imagine? But for what I want, which is towing a small camping trailer, it will do just fine.

Just looked back to my first 450h+ shown above (should read 9/5/2023) which at this time last year will have been 14 months old with approx 10k on clock. In May 2022 there was another thread we were noting range on - I'll see if I can find any posts from then as my new car has some 'learning' to do !! UPDATE: I've found the other thread, titled: NX 450h+ electric and petrol range, but it seems like I was more interested in working out the mpg than a day to day electric range then!!

A good post on the subject. PIRTEK also, make AC hoses. Only issue need to know length and what fittings need to be crimped onto the ends to make up a new pipe. If the joins are visible and can take a photo shop may know what fittings are needed. James

Unfortunately my fault is back, in at lexus next week so will bring up the issue, after reviewing all the data logs I've made and Freeze Frame Data it was pointing to the "Stroke" sensor in the Rack, but today the rack started making strage noises and completely stopped working 😞 I am thinking this is going to be expensive 😞

Hello everyone, I have a Lexus RX450h, coming up with Climate control system erra contract your dealer. none of the buttons for heating, fan, ac, rear screen , door mirror heater not working. All radio/ sat nav work perfectly everything in car works no issue. I have tried a diagnostic to see any codes stored, it is showing code: I already tried another HVACCM and tried another Radio to see if the heater button have any issue but nothing made any difference. I wondered if anyone had this issue, please anyone can help.

Thanks for the extra info. I will take both the switch and/or the mirrors apart and see where the problem lies. I don’t like it when things don’t work, even if not required too often. Also, I fear I may have to let SWMBO drive the car, and she is a good deal shorter than me so will need the mirror U/D adjustment. Still, this could be a good excuse to stop her driving it🤔
