Hi all

Well I finally picked up my IS200 Sport last night. She's a beaut - wonderful car to drive. One thing I noticed this morning travelling to work though - is it normal to sometimes get a "judder" through the gearbox in first or second gear at low speeds?

Here's some pics:

:driving: :)

Cheers

Tar.

excellent choice, love the colour, hehehehe :D

xmas will be a joy for you this year.

as for the gearbox thing, i think it's one of those initiation ceremonies, lol, over time, you'll learn the best way your new lady needs care, and you will be able to drop into those gears like she was smothered in baby oil, hehehehe.

but yeh, it is an inherent issue, cold in the morning, but much better after about 15 minutes warmup. :D

I bought it as a second car because my teg is becoming more of a track car. I needed something classy and reliable and I always liked the IS' anyway. Because it's a second car, it's a 2000 reg - so I'm old metal to yourself with your '03 model Drummerboy ;) :)

Well here is a pic of my teg:

I was wondering about the spec myself. I read the spec page available on this site and was curious as to why I didn't have the half-leather seats and a few other things. Lexus Ireland told me that it was the Sport spec for Ireland because the car was more expensive here (due to our horrible VRT (tax on a tax essentially)). :(

It does have the lowered suspension, chrome pedals, door sills etc though. Is there supposed to be a proper slip differential with the Sport model also?

I have a sport and as you mention mine comes with chrome pedals, door sills, and a limited slip diff also has half leather seats and both front seats are electric as far as i know this is std on the sport.

but as Monster Mat has said different specs in different countries fellas....................so not sure about youre IS being in Ireland???

That's the best about the IS .......... its ageless! Your car looks smashin for a 5+ year old vehicle, wish my '03 looked as good............ starting to get a bit rough around the edges :crybaby:

I was actually thinking of selling it and getting a 2001 Altezza that was up for sale for the extra ooomph, I just want my car to be faster then it'd be perfect! :driving:

I have cloth interior............... Chenille model they flog it as over here...........mine's no sport though. When I was buying I looked at a sport and it had cloth interior as well as far as I remember............... only discernable difference at the time was the pedals, cills, gear knob, etc

We ALWAYS get the ****ty end of the spec stick here in Ireland and get fleeced for extras :crybaby:
