brought in 1982

and yes it was red !!

88(E) Pug 205 1.9 GTi when I just turned 18. Cost me £1900 in 1998, then sold it in 2000 for £2100 purely because I looked after it (didn't modify it at all).

Was graphite grey, looked stunning, and I would have another one like it tomorrow if space allowed.

PERFECT car - I absolutely loved that :)

Oh....edited to say, it cost me £1700 to insure too :D :D (TPF&T)

I was 17 (back in '94), day I passed my test I bought it from my parents friends:

Mine was a '87 Yugo 55, in that colour... was a 1.1, had alloys (standard). Cost me 400 quid (i was a student).. can't remember how much insurance was.

Had it 4 days and some old geezer drove into the side of it... got it fixed up and resprayed black.. The window winder handles had a habit of snapping off..

I kept it for about 6 months, then got a ford escort

4). Ford Anglia 105E, VW bright orange, 1500cc engine I got bored out to 1650, weber carb, rostyles, full fibreglass dash, remote gear change. Zero to 80 very fast, but not much more due to gearing. Wheel spin from start in first to third ......

1. 79 reg beige (mmm lovely!) Metro which after a few days went terribly wrong, the engine wasnt actually attached! the brakes failed and i ended up in a field! sent the bloke a letter which he ignored, then took him to court and got all my money back plus more.
