I def recommend a DIY ceramic coating. My detailer has done mine each December on the driveway and I’m super impressed. This was after a 40 mile trip down a damp M20 last night.3EB94A2D-AAFF-4728-B55F-5DFBC1D63ED3.thumb.jpeg.a5aab7f334c25eec09234c209be0a58b.jpeg

Looks brilliant! - what coating did you have if you don’t mind me asking?

Sadly options are limited unless you can find a custom company.

I've recently bought a DJI Avata drone to play with and it's piqued my interest in photography generally.  The wife is a professional photographer so grabbed her 'old' backup camera and I'm going to have a play with it doing predominently landscape pictures.  Also will be looking to take some of the car however.....good practice.  Took this photo this afternoon messing with aperture and shutter speed to have a play in Lightroom.

Car's a daily so don't judge my cleaning!

Borrow a polarising filter. Fast shutter. Wide open (not too open) aperture. Should sharpen the shots up. What’s the drone like?

Drone is really good fun and the camera does 4k/60fps well.  Need to put into manual though as in auto it’s not brilliant.  The tech is amazing, can fly for 15 mins with the goggles and they are super responsive without any lag.  They aren’t cheap but for visor it’s awesome.  Going to highlands beginning of May so will get lots of use there.

There will no doubt be some polarising lenses knocking around, will give it a go.  I’ve got ISO locked down at 100 so have to use shutter speed and aperture to sort out exposure.  Think that photo is at around 125 shutter speed and F4.6,  something like that.

Drone sounds really cool. You might want to push the ISO a bit, if it’s a modern digital camera there’s not much (basically no) noise at 400 which will give you a couple of more stops. You can also afford to shoot the shots a bit dark on digital and brighten up later in Lightroom. Digital sensors catch definition in shadows but nothing in highlights, so always err on darker side of bright (if you’re using lightroom). Polarising filter will make all the reflections look much sharper and cool (if the car is clean 😂).

I'm looking into a drone to be able to expand on my photography. With a road trip to central and southern France in September with a few mates, I really want to add some more diversity to my images. What drone do you have? I'm looking at DJI's Mavic 3 Pro. My main concern is image quality as opposed to what the drone can do performance wise. Lots of research to carry out my end!

Yea, mini 3 pro is going to be good.  RAW images and 4K out the box.  Can put camera in manual too and it’s less than 250g so can fly anywhere.  Mavic will need a licence and operator ID.  Also costs much more.  I’ve got an Avata but wanted the FPV experience and don’t need all the photography tools.

Photos from Japfest 2023. Had a really nice day and it was a pleasure meeting and talking to everyone. The ISF was pretty good on track too. Anyone else have any photos or videos from the day?

I stopped by your stand but nobody seemed to be around to say hello to...bad timing.

Was a great day out and how lucky was the weather!

I will get a couple of pics up as soon as I figure out to do it on my phone 😕

PS Your tyres show a great time on track, nice one.
