Pick A Colour....?

Hello All,

Planning to do a full respray in the next few months on my LS400 and seem to be spoilt for choice.

I like the idea of a VIP style theme so my final colour choices are -

- Red

- Black

- White

Would apreciate all of your thoughts and suggestions as im not really sure myself :S but want to be different :)

Thats quite a hard one? never seen a red ls400 so that would be quite unique depending on which red though?? Black ls400's i think look great and white i think would need some thing to break it up a little bit, Even though with your wheels would look very good? Good luck in your choice but for a change i think i'd go for a nice red... :D

yeah i quite like red, but looking at deep blood reds rather than a normal burgundy red they already do.

i also like the white but think it needs something to give it a kick but then its keeping it clean lol.

Black is traditional and always goes well with everything, but i want something more....well different lol.

sounds like it could be red then mate :D think it would realy set the ls off as its a great car that should be shown off and with your wheels it would look great B) You could do with a good photoshop to see what it would look like in different colours to give you a better idea.. :)

Dark red would look sweet, then maybe some gold detailing; like Lexus badges ?

If it was me I would go for black. That's what I liked about my LS being astral black. Has a touch of the Soprano's about it. Keeps people guessing about what you may be carying in the trunk. I mean boot.

Must admit, a colour other than stock (Red), does really appeal - black and white LS can be seen, however, a red version is pretty unique!

Do you have a colour swatch you could show us?

I do like that Colour, I'm thinking of a Blood Red maybe really dark and "Soprano" Style :P but I don't want to have it looking like the Burgandy Red that the LS400 already does as Standard :duh:

red= unique but black tru vip. think you'd prob have to change the wheels if ya went red tho.

With them wheels it has to be black or graphite

What are you gonna do with the "moulded" looking lower panels? You could go for a bespoke 2 tone effect - Graphite metal and Black metallic "lower mouldings", and bumper valances...

Red body with Gold A + B posts plus roof?

Do bumpers same as body as it looks odd with this big chunk at the front in my opinion.

I like my Maroon Ser 4 but as a United fan.......it WAS the Red Devil motif you were going to have on the bonnet, a la Pontiac Firebird, wasn't it?

Just a Little Bump on this Thread after a a gap.

Finances still not upto scratch but now the wheels are starting to Corrode so found a wheel specialist local to me will refurb the rims any colour mega cheap :winky:

So now my dilemma is i can pick any colour on the car and the Chrome Lip on the Rims can match ( plus i have 2 tone options for the wheels and car )

The Mind boggles LOL so much choice. I have thought Red lip on black rim and red and black car

Thoughts and Suggestions are greatly welcomed B)

Hello matey i did wonder what colour you finally went for? I still think the reds a good idea for the car but not sure on the wheels now? maybe something like this colour would be a bit different??

They would look cool on a Black car with tints and a subtle suspension drop imo

Well my answer to your question is if your body work / alignment is spot on i would go for black.

If not the red would be nice as already mentioned, or a pearl white like the did on the renualt 5 turbo.

Another choice for me is gold which i had on a ls400.
