What's Your Car History? :)

Hiya everyone,

I was curious to know what other people drove before they got their lexus. I've had a wide-assortment of mostly rubbish cars as below!

1) G-reg 1990 Peugeout 205 1.1 Style - It was blue, with yellow stripes on the seats...my first car (and still very cool :tomato: )

2) K-reg 1994 Citroen 1.9TD Aura ZX Diesel - My student long-distance commuter. Comfy, but very rattly! Blew the head-gasket/cracked cyclinder head

3) L-reg 1994 Citroen 2.0i ZX Volance - Got to see my university house-mates head-slap in unison (oh no...not another Citroen... )

4) 55plate 2006 Ford Fiesta ST 2.0 - Performance blue - nippy, fun, but horrible on the motorway, twitchy and difficult to drive long-distance

5) 04plate 2004 Lexus IS 2.0 Limited Edition - Bought from Lexus Derby, love it to bits! :winky:

What else has everyone else driven before they got behind the wheel of a lexus? :D

(1997-1999) 1990 'G' Renault 5 - broke beyond economical repair

(1999-2002) 1998 'R' Fiat Punto 1.2 - wanted a 307 badly

(2002-2005) 2002 '02' Peugeot 307 1.6 - broke a few times, wanted something faster

(2004-2004) 1999 'Y' Nissan Micra (at the same time as the 307) - driving school car

(2005-2007) 2005 '05' Toyota Celica 1.8 - got bored with it, wanted an auto

(2007-present) 2005 '05' Lexus IS200 - we'll see how this one goes!

It's not quite that straighforward though because in between the R5 and Punto I had various company cars, Mondeo, Astra, Corolla, M3, BMW 318, BMW 325 convertible.

1. 1985 (B reg) Ford Escort 1.3 Ghia- uncle gave this to me, came into his garage as a non runner (head gasket failure). Replaced head gasket- 6 months later car written off- got rear ended by a Volvo.

2. 2000 (p/plate) Lexus IS200SE- bought this with my own hard earned cash in 2003, still got it. Going to run it until its dead.

Short car history for me.

Mine is pretty long for my short 4yr driving experience

M reg Renault Laguna 2.0ltr RT [owed 2months]

P reg Renault Laguna 1.8ltr RN [owner 18months]

R reg Renault Laguna 2.0ltr Executive Auto. [owned 12months]

T reg VW Bora 2.3ltr v5 [owned 2months written off]

T reg Lexus IS200 SE Nav. [owned 12months and still going, till i can afford an e46 330ci]

Most grunt was out of the Bora,

best drive is the Lexus,

worst drive was the manual box mated to the Renault 2ltr in the first laguna.

Longest ownership: 1.8 laguna.
