  1. So here are a few of mine from this morning. Sun is out, but driveway is kind of half lit, so photos arenโ€™t perfect! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Just paid the deposit today for a NX300h F Sport in sonic titanium, first time owner of the Lexus brand, been a diesel man for many years, but after a weekend with the f sport hybrid I decided to make the change, looking forward to delivery on the 24th December

  3. Also a little game, spot the new carbon bits! Lol. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  4. I had an NX for a couple of days last week while my 400h was being serviced. Chris has saved me a long post because I'd agree with all that. I've always considered the 450h to be the next step after a 400h.

  5. I have been looking for a while and have eventually found what, so far, seems to be the car I was looking for. It's a 2005 GS300 with only 79,000 on the clock and full service history. There is only one scratch (had trouble finding it) on the paintwork and the interior is unmarked - apart from some marks on the mat in the drivers well which has protected the carpet. I have one question though. With my previous GS300 (1994) I had a roof rack that I used on the very odd occasion, but I can't find one for this model. Does such a thing exist?

  6. If you start from 35psi then 5psi drop is about 14%. To achieve this by temperature alone would require about 40 degrees drop. Unlikely in England I think? John

  7. Why do you keep resetting the tyre pressures. Just leave it as it is and forget about it. If the pressure is right the light will go away by itself after topping up.

  8. I've just fired off an e-mail to RS-R to enquire about compatibility with the existing set-up.

  10. From personal experience I would avoid lowering springs on standard shocks, as the spring rates are never matched to the valving of the shocks, usually resulting in a bouncy or harsh ride, it also means that the shock sits much lower in its effective stroke meaning the valving looses much of its operating range

  11. Looks like your model doesn't display individual tyre pressures. It's a simple fault indication with warning light. Your handbook also doesn't indicate one can register two sets of ID codes, implying one will have to get the dealership to swap the wheels over come spring and register that set of ID codes to the system again. My apologies, my posts above don't appear relevant to your model.

  12. Hey, Seats are Cobra Misano Anniversary edition with the carbon backs. Had them custom finished with blue stitching to match the rear seats. Steering wheel is from Elvin in Singapore. Itโ€™s based off a stock 2IS one that he has reworked with the carbon and F badge etc.

  13. Under the settings somewhere you can switch summer on or off. From the label not mentioning the clock it sounds like it should also change the weather... A couple of weeks ago I remembered to change the clock on the NX sat nav to summer. You don't want to rush things...

  14. Is it a traction problem (loss of grip), or torque steer? Mine exhibits this too if accelerating wildly, and it can turn into a tank slapper if not careful. It's not a grip issue - but torque steer. I just learnt to use my right foot carefully.

  15. When I changed my battery recently, the clock reset itself to 01:00 when the new one was connected. A few minutes later I noticed that it had set itself to the correct time.๐Ÿ˜‰ There may be a setting to determine manual or auto clock setting.

  16. Firstly, it's illegal and an MoT failure. What's the problem with the DPF?

  17. Welcome Dragan. I appreciate you may be avoiding Lexus main dealers to avoid cost, but it sounds like it needs a โ€˜Hybrid Health Checkโ€™. This would cost around โ‚ฌ100 and should confirm your hybrid system is working. At the moment it sounds like it is not! Also, when driving at higher speeds is the rest of the car working properly? Does the temperature stay in the middle of the gauge? Are you losing any coolant or is the car burning oil? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. I'd get the suspension bushes checked out. Worn bushes will make the car track badly and it'll be all over the place.

  20. What state are your front tyres in and what pressures are you running? I've never experienced this.

  21. Thanks matey ๐Ÿ‘, yeh that is exactly how i felt about it to begin with, it is a stunning kit and like you say not many about but ........ something about the standard look of the is300. If it doesnt sell i will just keep hold of it for a while and see if my mind changes, atleast ive got it there incase.

  22. I went from an RX400h to a NX300h. As the new RX's are larger the NX is actually similar in size to the RX400h. Length and width are very similar. Height is slightly less. The figures I've seen suggest the boot capacity is bigger on the NX. It doesn't look it in real life so I don't believe the figures although the wheel arches intrude less at least. It feels similar size inside while driving although the centre console seems higher and doesn't move so it feels a like it cocoons you a bit more. I've found the ride and seat on the NX slightly harder (and I have a Premium not an F Sport). I do find the adaptive cruise control makes a huge difference to making driving more relaxing though. My RX would do 28-31mpg. This does 37-40mpg. CO2 is lower so tax for my 15 plate is ยฃ110 instead of ยฃ270 for the RX. Insurance was about the same. However it feels pretty slow in comparison. Figures are 9.5s to 60 instead of 7.6s but it also feels like it's trying hard when you push it. The RX was effortless, the NX is just loud and revy when pushed. Around town up to 40 in sport mode its pretty nippy and there's not much between them but over 40 and you realise the RX is in a different league. I do love the NX. With the Premier I have a shed load of toys, the styling inside and out is great. I like the better fuel economy of the NX and greener credentials but I do miss the engine in the RX. It's a pity that 10 years on Lexus couldn't manage green and fast. Someone rear-ended the NX a week ago and I've had a base spec(?) manual diesel 318 as a loan car. I've missed the quiet, smooth comfort of my NX so much.

  23. If you are considering an NX make sure you have a long test drive in the model you are considering. I tried one and after 10 miles my back ached. I now have a 2015 RX450h and it's the most comfortable car I've ever driven.

  24. We went from a 2005 RX300 to a late 2013 (63-plate) RX450h and we love it. The 300 was brilliant but the 450h is a whole order of magnitude better. Comfier, plusher, quieter, better in every way. You won't be disappointed if you go for an RX450h, I promise you.

  25. Pic taken on our recent holiday to the Lot region in France. She does look good in that setting, way nicer than beside my 3 bed red brick semi in Essex ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  26. Hi Paddy. If you want the same volume inside the car then get the 450h. The NX is a lot smaller inside.

  28. Same spec and colour combo as mine! I had the mudflaps taken off though. Wait till she starts driving it and realises it much, much bigger than the 2nd gen RX
