  1. Past hour
  2. I get that, you tried both and went with the best. Makes sense.
  3. Not sure I’d bother if I had to pay I agree, but Costco do this by default at their tyre bays.
  4. Only just got mine, but averaging mid 40s on urban/rural journeys, so far.
  5. I'm sure the dealer can disable the function, it's listed in the Customisations section. Techstream will be needed
  6. Just out of interest, are all the VIN stickers present and undamaged on the inside edge of each metal panel? Or are any missing or painted over? There should be about eight of them.
  7. Update! Ordered the correct part (an ebayer breaking down a CHR by the looks of it). Once again took the front bumper off. Fittest the new sensor, and I get all altogether new error. "Malfunction on parking sensor system, contact dealer". I guessed that perhaps it's not as plug and play as a part as I thought and I was right. I couldn't clear the error or calibrate it as I don't have tech-stream (think I might invest in a hooky copy of the software for the future though). So back to lexus so they can plug it in and press a couple of buttons and magic, works a treat!

  9. Maybe I don't like too many uncertainties or doubts but you would not see me for dust anywhere near those cars. One cannot be sure of anything but gut feeling counts for a lot. Buyer beware is the order of the day, at least for me it is😉.
  10. Looks to have been known for a while, but as the fix is via Nman OTA update I wonder if it is formally as a recall? https://car-recalls.co.uk/recall/lexus-nx-2023-no-restart-at-the-next-ignition-cycle/
  11. My understanding is they strip the parts and because they are not getting a lot for them just a £100 maybe £200, they collect them in cages and sell them by the cage full. These are organised gangs that send different teams to different areas and do a lot in one go. If they go after cars that are in areas that are risky places for them and they then have the added time of messing about to bypass the plates, they are not going to risk getting caught and will move on.
  12. Have you just purchased the car? Or has it started happening after any mechanical work? Start with the basics: - Tyre pressures - Check ball joints for any play including the control arm bushes - Sticking brake caliper or binding brakes (brake shoes) for the parking brake adjusted correctly - Condition of your brakes - Loose wheel nuts (hope not) - Worn shock absorbers (leaking)? - Diff fluid was original Toyota/Lexus diff fluid used I.E correct grade & topped up to the correct level? - Defective new tyre straight after a tyre change is suspect - Hit any pot holes? The list is exhaustive try to trace back before any work was undertaken.
  13. @Stuart Aspey Hope you are well bud- did you ever get to the bottom of this issue? I am experiencing the same and it is driving me mad!
  14. Personally i think if you plan to keep the car for a while i would recommend getting the premier variant vs the f sport. It has all the bells and whistles so a year down the line you wont feel like your car is old and lacking. If you're getting a lower model but slightly newer consider late 2016 early 2017 after that they increased the tax. One of the main benefit to me of the is300h is the £10tax. I wouldn't buy or consider any car above 2016 just for this reason but thats just me.
  15. Mat. Sorry to tell you that you won't get a reply from the late great John. He passed away a year or so ago. Maybe start a new thread with your query.
  16. I checked my 12v battery last week and it was showing 12.1v so I charged it and it went to 12.6v. a few days later and it showed 12.1v again even though the car was used multiple times each day. Same process this week 12.6v down to 12.1v after a couple of days again used every day. The battery (and car) is 12 months old and I've had no issues with it. I'm starting to think that the vehicle seems to routinely only maintain the battery to 12.1v regardless of use.
  17. Unfortunately, the Avons I liked aren't available in 235/55 R20 size. Fitted Bridgestone Turanza 6 "Enlighten" tyres this morning...slight discount meant fitted cost was £225 each. Big improvement in handling, road feedback, reduced noise levels and improved comfort. B rated for economy too which is a plus as well as A rated for wet weather. The OE Speedmaxx tyres were made in Japan (most available in the UK are made in Poland) and the tread had started cracking. Date of manufacture on tyre walls was 2021. The whole circumference was crazed with cracks on the outer edge and on one, the tread has started lifting. Not good. Plenty of tread depth left in them though, so 25K miles probably easily achievable on OE tyres. I just couldn't wait to get them off the car though.
  18. Thanks for sharing the quote. Recently did my own disc & pads all around for £400 delivered from EBC brakes. Saving approx £598 due to no labour charge feel abit better now. Changing out the disc & pads is the easy part any garage will dl the job easy money, however whats really important on a brake job which is time consuming is the brake hardware clips need to be either replaced/ cleaned removing brake dust & corrosion to look like new with a wirebrush & caliper slider pins taken out wire brushed & regreased. Otherwise within a few hundred or thousand miles you will get that horrible squeal reappear. Also make sure they don't throw away your brake shims that go on the pads just transfer to your new pads to mitigate that squeal which are not cheap.
  19. That's what I would do. I had a Vauxhall estate written off some years ago, bought it back, had the bodywork done as good as new and had a grand left in my pocket. At least it wasn't an accident causing chassis damage.
  20. The two tools to remove the clock fascia should be in the spine of the toolkit in the boot, someone may have pressed ‘Eject’ on the sat nav screen settings Before removing the clock fascia and the disc is not in the reader. Do you have the Navigation Instruction Manual? It’s thicker than the cars instruction manual😳 this eBay item no 165154128384 ( not sold by me👍) is Western Europe , not sure exactly where you intend going! there is a Northern Europe as well and it’s not much of a phaff to change disc’s once you know how.

  22. I note that this immobiliser uses the 2G network---a network, which along with 3G is due to be switched off over the next few years. The very latest date that the networks will be switched off is 2033 but it is likely that most operators will switch off these networks much sooner
  23. Yes, the first thing I would check is the passenger seatbelt buckle. Sometimes they do not retract fully and the buckle ends up getting caught and tapping the B pillar.
  24. Agree, but because I know that the issue lies within the metal tube that the blind rolls into after I removed the door card I'm wondering if it might come under the warranty. This is not really a trim item which is not covered but more of a mechanical defect. There is nothing externally to tighten up or re secure. With the door card in place and if I gently bang the top of the door card it's obvious something has detached itself or become loose. I'll ask the dealer for an opinion when it has it's 7th year service in August otherwise I'll just live with it.
  25. You'd be pushing it a bit at 65% if you wanted to do 100 miles, no real wriggle room for any extra use if anything unplanned happened.
  26. Thank you, we will definitely check it out. I also forgot to mention that the computer does not show any errors.
